What do I do with unused / leftover motor oils (less than a liter).

I have some Mobil1 (regular & synthetic) & Caltex (energy synthetic). Might not be using them again since I'll be switching to a higher viscosity oil (Castrol Magnatec 10W-40) from Caltex Energy (5W-30) for the 323.

Well, you can still mix them in to your engine, different oils can work together anyway. Or maybe you can always ask your neighbor or friends here if anyone needs some extra for topping up.

    Mazda,

Just curious, why would you switch to a higher viscosity oil for the 323?

    Less leaks pag higher rating?

Sa car namin nung 30w-50 walang leak, nung 10w-40(or somethink like that) nagkaroon ng oil leak.

lam ko pwede lang pagsamahin pag pareho viscosity rating.
kung kokonti na lang naman, i would suggest na lagay mo na lang sa isang lalagyan tapos gamitin mong lubricant for example sa mga squeaking hinges sa pinto, etc.....

If I remember correctly, there's a DOST-sponsored program for recycling used motor oils. Try their website for info.

lower viscosity is more suitable for relatively new engines. since the 323 is above 80K, a higher viscosity would be better IMO in terms of protection. though I still don't have oil leaks whatsoever.

ganun po ba?...well ko dito,i use only helix blue on the kia and maxima..

sa gas station,i request in 4 1-liter bottles..keep ko ung 1 liter and pour the remaining old stock that i have...ngayon nakaipon tuloy ako ng 4 liters..

ung unused oils may be used nga sa door rail ng sliding door sa bahay...mga konting langit-ngit ng hinges,etc...sa car, pwede din sa door hinges, some underchasis parts....

used oil naman gamit namin sa dogs to kill the galis..

pero kung madami-dami,pwede naman ata paghaluin ang same oil viscosity then give mo sa may kelangan...

my ride is 323 also and has 91K mileage... still no leaks... i think you can still use it. i just had my oil changed last thursday using Havoline Energy.

    puede pa yun bro.
