2. talaga ba hopeless na 2e engine? i mean wala na pwede i upgrade? say mga air filters? and anu ba yung simul daw? san pwede mag pa ganun ng 2e engine? and price?

For racing ba? Baka naman wala lang sa condition makina kaya mabagal. baka worn na ang clutch disc (sliding), ang sparkplug, dirty air cleaner, sticking pads, loose compression, etc. Had a big body with a 2E engine once, I could top 150 kph but my heart can't take anymore. BTW, how old is your brother?

usually change engine usually will cost you about 40000 kasama labor and the changes ... since you also have to change your tranmission and some of the support ....

if pagtitayagan mo ... try overhauling it change ka ng clutch and overhaul the whole engine .... palit ka ng filter and good spark plug .... ... pero for a 2E engine ... mabagal talaga yan .... pero matipid sa gas ....

Let him learn, besides if he just started driving and you give him a powerful engine like that, naku he will abuse it. kung "bone stock" palang ang Corolla (except for the ICE) mas mabuti pa na i-upgrade ang Suspension (Lowering Springs & stiffer Shocks/Struts). *pero kung OK pa ang shocks, kahit na lowering springs lang, Ok na.*

then make sure that the Brakes are good too. basically, you want to have a good suspension & braking system before doing any Engine Swaps, or Modifications.

then pag ok na ang suspension & brakes, pwede ng salpakan ng magandang Wheels & Tires. hehehe..

hahah!!! bro, mas luma pa car ko sa brother mo.. ako 96 2E din ang engine ko, ok lang sa akin kasi too traffic naman dito sa manila... kagabi nasa NLEX kami, ayos naman sumasabay sa mabibilis na car at bus. hehehe!!! bagong palit kasi ng shock, oil, plugs etc... hehe!! for me lang po, pagpratisan na lang muna nya yun car.. or pa condition nya, sa tagal na po ng car baka need to repair some parts sa engine. kung papalitan mo po ng new engine, better to buy new one.

Nagpapahiwatig pala ang brother mo na palitan ang engine? Tanongin mo muna for what purpose bakit nababagalan siya. A 2e corolla engine is okay and is very fuel efficient. I have friends who have XEs which i consider okay in terms of speed naman. Try to have it tuned up na lang and ask your brother to maintain it lagi para in tiptop shape pa. Advise mo na lang siya na wag na lang makipagcompete sa mga riceboys sa daan.

Hehehe, bagong driver lang tapos nababagalan na agad sa stock engine nya na 1.6L. Gusto agad magpa-engine swap to silvertop or blacktop na ~160HP. Kids these days...

When I was still learning how to drive, may marka pa ng kuko yung passenger seat ng Galant Sigma namin (courtesy ng erpat ko na doon nakaupo). Take note, 30 to 40 kmh lang ang speed ko nun, and I was driving inside the subdivision.

cguro nga nasusuhulan lang yung brother ko. unahin ko nlang mga safety features. anu ba mgandang klase ng brakes pang upgrade and san pwede magpakabit tsaka price? regarding suspensions napansin ko kase baksak na rear right suspension, tpos yung right front side naman mukhang ok naman pro pag nasa driver seat ka parang flat yung gulong(pro hindi talaga flat gulong ah) or parang lowered,. anu ba mgandang ipang upgrade sa stock suspensions, price and kung san pwede magpa kabit.

grabe feeling ko inuunti unti ako ng utol ko, hehehe dati sounds lang hirit kaya medyo ok lang sakin para ma enjoy nya naman college life. hehehe

Unless he will use his own money to make any mods to the car otherwise he better be happy to have a car or he can commute like everyone else. Slow car or a slow PUJ? Which one would you choose?

ako kasi noong bago pa lang ako mag drive gamit ko 2.0 engine pero lagi nauunahan ng mga 1.5 or 1.6 na oto, lalo na sa mga stop lights pag biglang bitaw. nagpaturo lang ako kung paano diskarte sa mga stop and go, madalas kasi ako dati maiwan ng mga 1.5 or 1.6.
sa makatuwid turuan ng diskarte si utol sa driving.

Dont change that engine unless its cracked block. Try bring to good operating level like tune your engine, replaced worn up parts. Car engine could last a very long time if you take care of it, as much as you taking care yourself.
Or maybe your brother wants to become a MICHAEL ANDRETI.
