Don't have much knowledge about Hondas so I suggest you call up Speedyfix, search mo dito yung mga post nya, nandun sa signature nya yung telephone number ng shop nya.

Impact on the engine would probably be poor performance and poor fuel consumption.

I don't have any idea on the price on the MAP sensor but this measures the air pressure (airflow) coming through the intake of the engine and sends a signal to the ECU for the proper calibrations on the a/f mixture and combustion. A busted MAP sensor (you sure it's really this?) can cause erratic engine idling amongst some.

On other makes (like Nissan and Mitsu), the counterpart of the MAP sensor is the MAF (Mass Air Flow) sensor. These are sensitive buggers and if they're dirty, corroded (their wires), or miscalibrated, they can give you poor engine performance and erratic idling gremlins.

It won't cause erratic idling; the error almost always occurs one way or another, not fluctuating. It will cause your engine to run either rich or lean. Essentially, either a loss in fuel efficiency or a loss in power.

MAF (mass airflow sensor yata) measures the air getting into the car and mixing with the fuel... a dirty MAF sensor will hamper your car from reaching its top speed (due to the wrong a/f mixture perhaps) ... an as mentioned above loss in fuel efficiency.

another Question: will it (map sensor) damage the computer box if not replace ASAP?

It will not. Unless your wires are grounded and sends a signal to your ECU in excess of 5volts.

Exactly. Your car is simply not going to run at optimal until you do replace it.
