Magaling na Mekaniko for Top Overhaul

Hi. Can anyone a recommend a mechanic/shop na subok ng magaling in doing top overhaul. My car is a 96 corolla gli. Better if in the Paranaque/Makati area. Thanks

Thanks. Kapag ba na top overhaul na dapat iready ko na rin ang sarili ko na malapit na rin mag major overhaul?

Ma'am I think kailangan mo handa sarili mo sa total overhaul, 12 years na kasi kotse mo baka masyado na maluag ang piston kailangan na yan re-bore.
Or baka may tama na din ang mga bearings. Pasukat mo bearing clearancee using plastik guage.

Personally I don't like dukot because base on my experience madaling bumigay ang ring at hindi na crocrosss hatched mabuti kung manual na liha lang sa bore, may portion ng ring na magiging mas malaki kain kaysa iba magiging oval ang cylinder mo.

May white smoke and oil kasi sa exhaust. Nagulat ako kasi bigla na lang maingay yung kotse dati naman tahimik na tahimik. I really appreciate your advise. You recommend na total overhaul na lang? Mga how much kaya aabutin? Natatakot kc ako magpa total overhaul kasi looking through the forums parang ang daming nagkakaproblema after ng total overhaul.

Saan pala yung mechanic na ni recommend mo? I am not familiar with other areas in Metro Manila kasi.

general overhaul kapag makitang may crack/pingas at alog sa piston rings. madalas may kasamang machine shop expenses kapag may groove na sa engine block. additonal expenses din ang worn-out engine supports na makikita kapag binaba na ang makina mo. goodluck na lang po, sana konti lang ang makitang problema sa engine ninyo.

Kapag ba magaling yung nag general overhaul, wala ng magiging problem sa engine? May nagbebenta ba ng brand new engine for my corolla? I'm so confused na tuloy. Simula ng nag 11 yung car ko, every month na lang may lumalabas na sira.

haay naku sakit lng ng ulo yan pa overhaul na yan ang dami mong intindihin as in! sino gagawa? magaling ba? marunong ba gumamit ng mga panukat? maibabalik ba sa tamang clearance at tolerance etc etc. mga pyesa anu anu ba? branded ba o hindi? anong clearance dito anong clerance dyan? alam ba nya yun or tyamba tyamba lng hindi plug and play ang mga pyesa ng makina lalo na pag nagbasa ka ng mga automotive books para maayos take note dapat mga degrees at mm.

ang nakita ko lng magaling magoverhaul tlaga ay yun mga nsa shops na nasa states na nafefeature sa mga cable chanels talagang down to the last detail yun lahat sinusukat at ikinakabit ng maayos. pag dito sa pinas ang mga gumagawa lng nyan ay yun mga high end shops na sobrang mahal manigil.

inoverhaul nga oto ko halos 20k nagastos ko after 6 months pumupugak na. buti pa itong surplus na nabili ko 3 taon na ayos pa at 17k lng nagastos ko from then on sinumpa ko na mga mekaniko!

Three keys to a good overhaul, a good mechanic/machineshop, parts (oem or replacement) and break-in period. I would suggest a compression test muna. Your symtoms could just the valve seals. My mechanic is quite near the R. Papa LRT station in Manila. Medyo malayo sa inyo but I could pm you his number.

Could be your piston rings too. Like I've said before depende sa nagpapagawa. Pede din "dukot" lang if your conrod bearings are still good...yun iba naman will opt for a full overhaul since nakababa na yun engine.

In addition, considering na good mechanic. Pag major overaul, good as new na ang engine. Try mo pm si speedyfix maam. I believe they do overhauling, and they are experienced in this field.

Kapag ba na top overhaul na mga gano pa yung itatagal ng makina? Worry ko kasi baka after a few months e kailanganin ng imajor overhaul e magdo doble pagawa ko. Baka okay na nga din yung imajor na since nakababa na yung makina. Although undecided pa rin ako kasi madami ako nababasa sa net na na major overhaul na pero may problema pa din yung engine. Hassle yata yun kasi nagbayad na ng mahal tapos di pa rin nawala yung problema. At least pag top lang di kasing mahal ng major at di masyadong masakit kung di maayos yung gawa. Di ako marunong mag PM e pero nagsend na ko ng inquiry sa website ng speedyfix.

You will more or less know once the cylinder head is removed. The c. head, valves, seals and seats is usually the first to fail because lof no oil lubrication unlike block components. It doesnt necessarily follow that the block components will follow soon after. Do a thorough headwork first then when you do a general later set aside the cylinder head and concentrate on the block.

Why dont you try meralco foundation? yon mga automotive instructors doon would do this kind of work. HB nila ito. (xtra kita) Puede rin kayo pumunta sa Don Bosco Mkt para magtanong tanong.

mam cathy, i had my engine overhauled two years ago kay raymond sarol (a recommended mitsu mechanic) dito sa san juan. so far naman po, okay ang naging resulta ng overhaul.
mas pinili ko po ang overhaul kaysa sa change engine. it took 3 days to get the job done.

you can also try hongly at sucat and autotechnika at the fort. baka medyo mas pricey than the ordinary run of the mill talyers pero at least siguro naman reliable ang gawa at ang warranty, if ever may problema, i-hohonor (lest their reputation be besmirched all over the web)

or you can further consult people at grupotoyota. they may know some shops w/c specializes specifically in your car make

Actually kung magaling ang mechanic, magaling ang machineshop at maganda ang pyesa plus maayos ang break in, hindi ka mamomoblema.

Kung wala ka naman problema sa pera, dalhin mo kay speedy or kay cruven, kumpleto sila ng gamit dun at pag nagka problema pwede mo balik sa kanila or pag di nila inayos goonsquad lang ang katapat nila.

Ganito po kasi yan. Yun top overhaul pinapalitan yun valve seals, springs gasket and ni-reseat yun valve. minsan valve seal lang problema pero since tangal na yun top from the block (lower part of the engine)pinapalitan na ito madalas. kung di naman napabayaan un engine, hindi nag overheat, hindi naubusan ng langis ok pa yan at tatagal pa yan, I have a 13 and 15 yr old vehicles pero never pa nag overhaul, top or full.
