Hello. Need your advice on Injection Timing. My pickup (4ja1 with 73K in the odo) is running a bit rough when idling. Rough, meaning noisy as compared to other fuego pickups. This is specially true when I am using AC while the pickup is idling. I just had my Injection Nozzles cleaned. I also recently replaced the air filter, fuel filter, oil filter, all fan belts, and oil. But still the idle is still rough.

Nabasa ko sa isang discussion na "if you want your 4ja1 engine to be running smooth...as in smooth idling..you should have ur injection timing be corrected." Do you think an injection timing adjustment will help? Is there a recommended setting or frequency for the adjustment of 4ja1 injection?

    Thanks.

Ok naman na afterwards and its a relatively simple procedure. Baka pwede din sa Isuzu yun.

Open lang valve cover. Gamit feeler gauge (yung parang mga thin strips of metal). Adjust yung clearance by tightening or loosening bolts.

I also noticed that when the AC compressor runs, malakas na ang engine vibration kapag naka idle. Salamat ulit.

yup...valve clearance lang siguro yan sir...if your fuel pump has not been serviced yet, most likely original setting pa iyan...that's what happened to me, pero 4jb1 naman...dati naka advance but then after ipa calibrate, back to original setting ulit yung timing and then umingay, had the valve clearance adjusted and now its running smoothly again...=)
