    Mga sirs tulong naman po.

    I have a 1991 corolla GL 16 valve.

My problem is my when my car is parked for 1 to 3 hours it will start on first click but when you turn it off, ayaw na. Puro redondo na lang. (I was about to leave a place kasi and then I forgot something so I turned off the engine, difference of only 3 minutes) When you give it gas it starts but with difficulty then ang idling naglalaro between 500 to 600. When you begin to drive, sinisinok sya.

However after about 15 minutes of driving, nawawala naman yung sinok and idling will return to normal (800) after 30 minutes.

I experimented with the above scenario and consistent yung problema nya. No problem though on cold starts like morning.

Kailangan daw linisin. Mga 16 valve daw eh ganito sakit.

Less than a month pa lang po ang fuel filter, spark plug, fuel pump and battery.

Tama ba sabi sa akin or nine-negosyo lang ako?

    Anybody who can help please?

    bro ..
kung ang hinala mo may damage ang ignition coil mo ...why dont you try to borrow from some of your friends who have the same coil or car ..just to prove na may sira coil mo ..rather bumili ka then hindi naman pala iyon ang sira ..IMO

kung hinala mo talaga eh carbon build-up sa engine internals, i suggest punta ka nlex from balintawak hanggang pampanga. hataw mo lang ng ihataw at 100kph or more. tanggal carbon nya. this is what toyota guys do. (sa casa) to remove build-up ng carbon. this way, mas mura kaysa overhaul at ma-exercise mo yung engine at matakbo ng mabilis-bilis ang makina. after going to and from pampanga, dapat tanggal na ang carbon buildup mo... hth.

This is probably the easiest, cheapest, not to mention the most fun way of cleaning up an engine.

i chose carbon clean than top overhaul a year ago sa betan calibration in makati.

Get a second opinion... I can't connect well on how carbon build-up affects the starting at different engine temperature conditions?

I'd look more at the carb and ignition system. You may want to change your grounding wires as well...

I think fuel system yan, have your tank cleaned din. Happens to my diesel benz before.

Thanks po lahat sa mga suggestion ninyo.

I tried to replace the ignition coil pero same problem pa rin.

I will try the carburetor route suggestion. I will bring it sa kamuning.

Will give you guys feedback kung naayos for all our learning.

    Thanks po ulit.

    The car is already fix!

I brought it to A&M sa Kamuning, they said lunod daw sa gas kaya ganon. They replaced the check valve and the venturri sa carburetor. Nagi-istart na kahit patay bukas after 1 to 2 hours na naka park. I experimented with it yesterday and today. Hindi nga lang 1 click on second start, but at least nagi-start na.

I will bring it back na lang to them after a week or so kung ganon pa rin.

Maganda na rin ang sunog ng plug. Dati kasi ay maiitim hanggang tip.

Total cost is P975 inclusive of the overhaul.

I looked for Mando, the guy recommended in this forum. He adjusted the idling (with and without a/c) without even looking at my rpm. Kabisadong kabisado just by looking and hearing the engine. Matindi!

Thanks again fellow tsikoteers for all the suggestion esp. sir Vinj and sir Joey.

Effective ba talaga yan? Do I need special fuel additive or higher octane gas o kahit regular unleaded lang?

Additional tip chong, you might want to change your engine ground wires with thicker ones if you havent done so (or buy one of those grounding kits).

I used to have a Corolla AE92 GL also before and when i changed the old ground wire from the engine to the chassis, mas gumaan yung starting ng car.
