tok sound

any idea while driving pag shift ko ng gear then release ng clutch may "tok " sound ako narinig.sometimes wala "tok " pag super dahan-dahan ko release clutch.

What is the vehicle btw?

My first guess would be to check the engine supports/mounts. But there could be many other sources of the sound...

etong tok sound na ito can really get on your nerves... meron sa hi-ace namin so pa check lahat... in the end it was the door hinge bushing everytime na aarangkada ako...tok... pag preno tok... wala pa naman mabili...

Yung sakin naman may 'tok tok tok' pero dahil sa power antenna :D hehe... meron rin 'tok' sound pag open ng pintuan, pero dahil yun sa sumabit yung door sa parking sign :D

It's really difficult to trace the "tok" sound. Yung aking corolla, maraming ng tumingin pero hindi ma-trace. So, I just lived/drove with it. But when the engine supports were replaced, nawala na rin ang tok sound.

Since, you are hearing tok sound during clutching operation, better check your clutch/transmission first.

yeah i agree, check the bushings and supports. they could be the cause of the excess play, then that causes the noise.

tnx guys,around 6 months ago same problem nag palit ng axle assembly,for a while lang bumalik uli yung tok sound.posible din kya defective din yung nabili ko surplus?reliable ba surplus ng axle assembly?mahal daw kc brand new nun.pls advise.ride corolla 1.3.tnx

kung nawala sya for a while ok yun and di deffective. kaso you can never tell how long a surplus part will last... kasi surplus sila.

nakakapraning talaga yang tok sound na yan. sa kin pinacheck ko na lahat, engine support, axle assembly, suspension, etc. ang culprit lang pala eh kulang ng washer yung mga nut ng gulong sa front driver's side. heheheh.

sa akin sa may manibela, nararamdaman ko parang may maluwang na tornilyo or wat.. may tok sound. pa-sumpong sumpong.. kapag medyo tumagal nako nagddrive lalabas yung sound. kapag nagcool down na yung engine. mawawala nanaman. ano kaya sira?
