peeps.. ano ba effect sa engine ng incorrectly installed timing belt? yung timing belt ko kse na-align sa TDC (top dead center) na pang d15 engine, while my engine is a d16 (its a PH16 honda civic ESi, correct me if im wrong though) possible kayang may masira sa makina, say the valves, cylinder head, etc? thanks in advance. pasensya na kung ang kulit ko ha.. i'd rather believe what this forum has to say than to believe the mechanic who messed up my car...

btw, im asking this kse medyo worried ako na baka may nasira na nga sa engine. ilang beses kse sinubukan na paandarin yung makina, but then it just cranks up but doesnt fire up.. in the end, yung ignition coil na and itinuro nung "wreckaniko". hehe.. i

it won't crank properly... like what you are experiencing.

pull-out you car from that shop and have it towed (say perhaps SPEEDYFIX can help) to a better shop na sanay sa civic.

either this or kung medyo desperate na, kontakin mo pa din si Migs (Speedyfix) and ask him if you can borrow one of his mechanics after their operating hours para puntahan ang oto mo.

Of course yung expenses ng mechanic (pamasahe, meryenda, etc.) eh sagot mo. I think this is cheaper compared to putting your ride on a flatbed and sending it to Speedyfix, but of course it all depends kung papayag si Speedyfix.

if the belt is off you can damage your engine big time.

kung sinunod niya yun timing marks eh wala naman sigurong problema yan. kung mayrun di nakatapat may iba tunog sa redondo mo yan or a simple "tak" sound ibig sabihin something broke...sana hindi. baka wala ka lang gas...joke.

well make sure may kuryente muna. should be easy naman to check if the coil works or not.

kung meron then baka the belt is off. pero kung 1 tooth lang dapat aandar pa yan. it won't start kung off sya by a lot.

sought for a second opinion from a mechanic and had my timing belt re-installed... then i also had my distributor checked. as it turns out, i had a failed igniter? may naka-encouter na ba sa inyo ng ganito after changing the timign belt? anyways, now that its up and running, i think i've learned my lesson and hte next time i need something done on my car, i'll go to speedyfix.. hehehe... kahit mejo malayo..

the igniter can give at any time. natsempo lang siguro na nangyari when the timing belt was being replaced.
