my pressure plate is due for replacement already (had it examined by our mechanic). kaya mahirap siya ipasok sa 1st and 2nd gear tapos may naririnig pa akong detonation/pinging kahit patag yung yung road at wala akong aircon. i already had the clutch adjusted and had the gear oil level checked kung kulang, i use blaze gasoline all the time, yet ganun parin yung problem.

so i did a search sa forums to find out what else needs to be checked when replacing the pressure plate, this is what i found:

    -release bearing
    -pilot bearing
    -rear crankshaft oil seal
    -reface flywheel
-replace clutch disk (i dunno kung related to or kung kelangan din)

tama ba yung checklist ko? please feel free to comment. i plan to have this fixed sa speedyfix.

    salamat mga tsikoteers.

Dapat sabay na talaga mga bearings at clutch disc kasi sabay-sabay wear and tear neto, sayang lang labor mo kung di mo sinabay.

As for the flywheel, if wala namang nangyari sa flywheel mo, don't bother.

Primary and secondary slave, usually o-ring lang yan, pero kung nasira yung o-ring tagas lahat brake fluid mo hehe.

IMO the clutch system has nothing to do with the detonation and pinging sound you hear. How long (kms) since you last change your disc, plate and rel bearing? This could get you an idea if you really need to replace them. unless you are a clutch driver.

i really cant remember, pero i know its been a long time na. the thing is, di lang ako kasi gumagamit ng car ko exclusively. sometimes my brother or my mom uses it (i dont know kung clutch driver sila). one thing i know, hinde ako clutch driver.

we had the same problem with our civic vti before. it started to have pinging/detonation kahit high octane fuel gamit namin. its never done that before. tapos mahirap din siya ipasok sa 1st/2nd/reverse. nung pinaayos yung pressure plate di na mahirap mag shift and nawala na completely yung pinging/detonation.

hinde ba sila talaga related? is this an absolute answer? pls help. sayang naman yung paggawa ko ng pressure plate ko.

If knock/detonation is your issue, I'd check that first kasi mas mura yun hehe..

    Timing
    Distributor cap
    Distirbutor itself
Spark plug type (tama ba heat range)
    HT wires
    etcetc

I think it has more to do with fuel-air mixture...
