    Article:
Honda is still No. 1 in PH after-sales customer service | Visor PH

"The study also found that express service—which allows clients to get their vehicle back “within two hours”—is the best way to please a customer these days."

Question: Is this an ideal way of servicing our vehicles? Like for example, changing engine oil within 15-30min after parking in the casa... Is that good or bad? Another thing is, can they finish the job thoroughly?

    ---------

"Korean brands Hyundai and Kia are dead last with 787 and 802 points, respectively. The steep drop of Hyundai, this year’s worst performer, is particularly surprising as the firm was second to Honda just last year."

"Another crucial factor that surfaced in the survey is transparency in the work done, something that customers put a premium on."

My comment: Yes I own a Hyundai vehicle and have been to 2 casas. My vehicle has been serviced 3 times as the car is new, and I can tell, Hyundai is CRAP with their aftersales. They have thick skin to take our money with their CRAP service.

This is the reason our SF only visited 10K in casa the rest done outside. Imagine every 3months or 5K using FS oil. Not only wasting money but contributing harm to our environment.
Not to mention hyundai pricing with their anemic features.

Amen, sir. And that is one of the reasons why for the longest time, I have resisted buying Korean vehicles.

As I noticed, brands with poor aftersales seem to be handled by groups who also have luxury brands in their portfolio, like for example Autohub, who owns Hyundai PH.

These friggin snobs do this deliberately!

Honda's Express Service is only for minimum PMS.. the .5 year intervals... pag major PMS hindi daw kaya nang express..

SUZUKI also has weak aftersales service, their parts are very hard to order (and they're only made in Asia) and extremely very expensive. I think all the factory substandard rejects are exported and sold here. Aside from that they easily break.
Great legitimate autoindustrial scam. They don't let the owners watch how their cars are serviced (lousy cover up).
Plus you can't buy specific parts....you have to get the whole assembly...that is their modus operandi. If only somebody can sell Suzuki engine and underchassis parts at a reasonable price, that person would surely succeed in business.
Suzuki sold a lot of cars in Cavite and yet they have no real service center with real mechanics in Cavite.
Harsh reality that all Suzuki owners in the provinces must deal with. Thank you very much.

I go to Wheels Inc for my Hyundai and Kia needs. I have to say that Kia offers significantly better service probably since there aren't as many customers. I can often just drop by and they'd serve me immediately, which most definitely cannot be said about Hyundai. Minsan nakaappointment na, hintay pa ng matagal.

I only go there when I have no other choice because outside mechanics are unable to service it (like when the Carnival snapped its belt, which wreaked havoc in the engine), or parts are unable to be found elsewhere (when I had to replace the Santa Fe's illuminated sunvisors).

So not all Hyundai dealers are HARI affiliated?

Yun nga eh 5 years warranty.

To keep it, 5 years ka hostage ng dealer for PMS

Standard rule naman ng mga casa ito di ba?

Their servicing procedures and their service advisors are very unprofessional.

Ako I have different experiences with Honda and Hyundai casas.

I used to own a Honda, now I own Hyundais. With both brands, I always service my cars in casas except once.

Simpleng problem will cost you tens of thousands of pesos sa Honda, sa Hyundai bili ka original na pyesa sa Seiring, Goodgear, Fronte, or Koraps and have it serviced sa casa. Yun lang, sa Honda mas available ang mga piyesa, sa Hyundai order basis yung some parts kaya they allow me to bring my parts which saves me a lot. Sa Honda naman, naisahan na ako. Tipong pinasok mo yung kotse mo ng maayos, pag labas sira na yung isang piyesa, sa Hyundai hindi pa naman. OK naman yung mga 5 year warranty claims ko sa Korean cars kaya that's a plus for the aftersales.

Overall, I have better casa experiences with Hyundai. They sometimes upsell you with a lot of unnecessary flushes, additives etc but you can always refuse naman.

Can you mention the Hyundai casa where you have positive experience?

Will consider going there for my next maintenance.

    Thanks!

    From my experiences:

Manila Bay has cheaper parts and has more parts on stock especially in main branch E Rod but they don't allow you to bring own parts, sometimes gives 10% parts discount, approved my warranty claims
you can see through their service in Alabang, good car wash
QA is open on Sundays, OK yung body repair nila
Las Pinas has P1000 complete wheel alignment promo
    Sucat approved my warranty claim
Paranaque West repair labor is cheaper and has no long queue

every 6 months ako nagpapa-PMS using FS oil, para ding sa Honda ko dati, and I always check kung may unnecessary add-ons

i'm sure many may have different experiences

Do service advisors earn a commission from their quotations?

We got 2 different price for the Labor Cost from the same casa. More than 10k din yung difference from the 2 different advisors.
