will it have benefits when used in a stock engine?will it make it really fast lalo na pag drag racing?
may masisira ba sa engine pag ginamit ito?
thanks!

Aviation gas or JeT A1. Masisira lang engine mo kasi kerosene lang ito na high grade merong -47 degC or -60degC freezing point.

by itself wala sya magagawa... you have to adjust fueling and ignition timing to make full use of the increase in octane.
di masisira makina mo kung paminsan minsan lang yung gamit.
i guess it varies from manufacturer to manufacturer... definitely over 100 sya tho.
ah so wala rin magagawa on a stock engine, ignition timing..etc?Originally Posted by speedyfix
nope, nothing major... the only reason to use it is if you are going to retune your a/f and adjust your ignition... kung di rin then useless sya.
Avgas and jet A-1 - not the same... avagas is high octane gasoline (used for small planes with piston powered engines)... jet a-1 like, what you've said is in fact high grade kerosene (as the name states, for jet engines).Originally Posted by raine
Same lang siya Small or Wide body aircraft pereho silang ginagamit, dahil yan ang nilalagay namin sa mga aircraft at hindi porke jet a-1 for jet lang yan. and avgas ay hindi gasoline na as gasoline na pang kotse its also a kerosene, meron lang silang ibat ibang freezing point para kung saan sila papunta doon binebase.Originally Posted by EssB
Avgas = blue color... according to guage (if manufacturer follows standard dye color coding) 95-112 octane... avgas is actually just high octane gasoline... some racers use this as an additive to pump gas to boost octane, but do not use avgas purely since it promotes very high vaporization that accumulates water within the fuel tank (w/c is really bad for the injectors)...Originally Posted by raine
I understand your idea that avgas can be used for small or wide body aircraft... condition: it should be using a piston engine...
Jet A-1 = for jet powered planes.
