Newbie / VW Restoration

Hi guys!!. Im new to this forum. I saw the link to this site in a forum where I am a regular.http://www.glocktalk.com/ . Its a forum for pinoy handgun enthusiasts. Anyway, I dont own any modern cars but Im in a middle of a restoration project for my 1968 1200cc VW Beetle. Nalagyan ko na ng airconditioning, maayos na yun body, okay na din yung setup and electricals. All in all umabot na sa P150T yun gastos. Can anyone give me tips and advice for restoration and kung pwede sana, referrals na din sa mga stores and shops na nagse-service ng VWs. Gusto ko din kasi i-try yun ibang mekaniko e.

Thanks for the welcome guys. Actually 1 1/2 years na yun resto project ko. Bought my beetle for P12T pesos and talagang napakasama ng itsura ng makuha ko. Though ang pinagpipilian ko noon is a 1965 Mustang Hardtop or yun Beetle. Medyo mahirap at mahalpiyesa ng Mustang kaya Beetle ang pinili ko. Ngayon di na nakakahiyang iparada yun beetle ko katabi ng mga modern cars sa mga parking lots. Hindi pa masayadong maganda. Madami pang cosmetics na kailangan idagdag pero madami ng nagkakagusto. I'll try to post some pics as soon as mailabas ko uli this week sa talyer. I'm also willing to share some inputs sa mga gustong magrestore ng beetle.

pare si gilbert yung mahilig sa beetle, meron din yata syang ni-rerestore na kharman g. siya yung original na mangbitoy sa old kotse.com nung umpisa.
eto yung project ko 1986 vw gti 8v, lalagyan ko ng 2.0 liter 16v engine. pero ngayon eh kinukumplete ko yung mga parts.

Yes sir. taga Coloong ako. Darwin Pasco. Peo sa monumento na ako ngayon umuuwi. Pang 4 Beetle na namin ito sa family. Beetle fan kami ng erpat ko e. Namana ko sa kanya HEHEHE

LLenado? As in the late Vice Mayor Romy LLenado?. Katiket dati ni Romy Llenado yun Uncle ko(half-brother ng dad ko) nung 1987 election. Ernesto Mendoza. Tsaka magkakasama sila ng dad ko sa Jaycees noon.

Im gonna get my hands on a 68 1300 beetle this month and i know absolutely nothing about restoring beetles. hope you beetle owners could help me out. thanks in advance!
