May crack na ang front windshield ng avanza ko. Option ko is either toyota OEM na 2 to 3 days gagawin sa casa. possible na makatipd ng konti due to insurance. Total cost excluding insurance is almost 10K

I am planning to go to Aguila Glass. 3K+ for tempered glass. 4.9K for safety laminated glass.

Alin ang better? Tempered Glass or Safety Glass?

mas matibay ang tempered glass. mas safe naman ang safety glass.

Laminated glass has layers of plastic sandwished inbetween to hold it together. But it's not any stronger than regular glass.

Tempered glass (which can also have a lamination layer on the outside) is stronger than regular glass and shatters to bits. A lamination layer (if applied) will hold the bit together. Overall this is safer than regular laminated glass.

the department of transportation made it a point for cars, trucks and buses to use laminated glass for the windshield to hold each fragment of broken glass intact and away from the driver's and the passengers eyes from injury in the event of a crash. the side windows and the rear windows are of tempered glass that shatters in small pieces when the right angle and force directed to it causes it to shatter. humans have the eyes in the front unlike chickens. that's the reason why the windshield is made of laminated glass.

afaik, laminated ang windshield and tempered ang window glass. ganun sa vios, rolla, civic and jazz dito.

para yun pag may front end collision eh di kakalat ang glass sa mukha/mata to lessen injury
