Is this a good idea?
There are shops that claim that they can repair them. Only question is, if it would last. Was on a weekend getaway (Talisay) and after that felt like my steering kinda plays.

Ball Joints pair (555 brand) - Php 1500.00
Tie rod end pair (555 brand) - Php 1350.00
Rack end (555 brand) - Php 900.00

bros,
yung sa may santolan . . .
ilalim ng underpass, intersection santolan EDSA, sa caltex (?) gas station, katabi ng mga nagtinda ng uniforms for secty guards, after ALMERs (hindi po yung Almars) (gumagawa ng mil caps) . Shockmaster yata ang name and then may isa pang shop magkatabi sila.
. .mura pa ang singil . . . kaya lang dapat maaga pumunta kasi madami custom. . .

I believe Zee or Cruven can repair them, but having them pressed/machine-shopped isn't really a good idea.![]()
na ano? ipagawa yun axle velocity?..hmmm..I don't think it can be repaired anymore kasi para siyang gears sa luob..pagsira na, try to replace it..malalaman mo kung sira na if your turning right of left while driving/cruising, may tutunog na taktak, toktok something lang dat (ganon ba sayo).. mine kasi, I had repacked (by my mechanic in shell) a high-temp grease while replacing the boots of the axle velocity on my 7g galant, (di pa naman sira yun, so preventive lang ginawa ko)..and surprisingly, na-prolong pa yung buhay ng velocity ko, di ko pa nairereplace for 8 years narin,..so to speak.Originally Posted by _the_saint

And to add that, one of the reasons of wear and tear nito is, boots are already worn out (i.e. chipped off already), so it will cause the grease to spill out (bcoz of spinning, of course), thus lessening the lubrication of it,.and the setback is metal-to-metal contact. Try mo, baka it will work,..pero kung sira na, replace it already. If you want a good replacement part/s, try FEDERAL MOGUL brand, oki 'to bro. fyi lang po!..gud luck brader!![]()
