Braggs, not sosyal mga bro, poor lang kami, it's just binili namin ito a long time ago and we were not using it much as we didn't like it, so in fact nagtitipid kami by making use of it this way [emoji3]

That makes sense, might as well make use of it in a different way than let it go to waste.

BTT: Are there any advantages to using the banana type wipers as compared to the conventional steel framed ones?

Is it just aesthetics or does the shape supposedly make them more effective during high speed driving in the wet?

I just buy the cheapest I can find. Usually elevo. Well, cheaper than the big brands.

Palit after a year around late May-June.

Same here sir Shadow, just bought a pair of Elevos for the Sporty, annual replacement naman eh.

I think it's cheaper in the long term because of the excessive heat and abuse they get from our climate and weather nowadays.

My experience kasi, I replace them every year when the wet season is in full swing. I just buy the less expensive brands since I mean to replace them next year again. Consumable items, so to speak.

Why risk diminished visibility for a few hundred pesos every year?

    Thoughts?
Replaced the Würth blades on our car that lasted for 2 years din before it started streaking. Tinry ko naman yung PIAA silicon wipers, pansin ko lang mas gumaan yung pag wipe niya, plus it will last longer daw kasi the heat won't dry out silicon unlike regular rubber.

For my FB, elevo has good quality relative to the price of the original, at 350 per pc inclusive of frame (thus plug & play and better look than the faded frame of the OEM) and a tested life of at least 2 years, it is a practical replacement for the original rubber refill of 1,800 per pc at the casa.

I can't remember ever seeing those brands in our local shops.

Silicone wiper blades would be more durable, I suppose. Care to share how much for a pair sir Lancer?

Usually sa Concorde ko nakikita yan silicone wiper.

But for the price. I rather buy a new pair every year. May not be as durable as silicone but at least it's brand new

That haa been my practice even with air filters, I buy generic good quality brand but 3x chepae than OEM and just replaced it 2x as more and mas mura pa rin at least brand new every time.

I got the PIAAs from PartsPro sir, yung Würth naman sa True Value, wala na kasi stock ng sizes ng RainX.

PIAA AeroVogue costs around 1.2K-1.4K each blade depende sa size. [emoji4]

Naghahanap sana ako ng PIAA refills for the rear wiper, P700 ang 12 inch refill sa casa, pero umabot naman ng 5 years bago mag start mapunit so ok na din I guess.

Maganda ba rain Wiper? Marami ako nakikita sa Concorde na silicone wiper.

I think both RainX and PIAA have this special feature na i-coat niya din ng silicon yung glass to promote water beading, not sure with other silicon wipers though.

Pero pag biyahe ako, sobrang nabawasan paggamit ng wiper, or naka intermittent na lang siya kasi lumilipad talaga yung ulan. [emoji16]

I subscribe to that mindset also, better to replace the consumables like wiper, air and cabin filters every year than to buy from the casa. Halos same quality pa minsan and way less expensive.

5 years is quite durable. To me, anything that lasts more than 2 years for my everyday use, is good enough. Wag lang kotse. Haha.

    :
You can replaced it 2x a year since it's 3x cheaper than OEM.

Agreed, especially when you need to buy from the big three like Honda, Subaru and Mitsu. LoL

Is this really useful? About how many percent is the difference in wiping ability will it improve after using it?

80-90%, up to 2 yrs lang kaya(cheapest wiper). More than that, either it will be torn apart or to brittle to restore. Basta may isang streak na lumabas,,replace agad
