My experience kasi, I replace them every year when the wet season is in full swing. I just buy the less expensive brands since I mean to replace them next year again. Consumable items, so to speak.

Why risk diminished visibility for a few hundred pesos every year?

    Thoughts?
i use cheap refills, purchased from the mall car accessories centers. buyer may have to ask the sales person, because sometimes, they are hidden behind the more popular items.
i cut to the right length, i slide out the old rubber, and slide in the new.
note that they come in at least two size diameters. if the one purchased is the wrong size, one may use long-nose pliers to "make them fit". hassle, but do-able.

First experience sa acid rain remover is super itchy sa kamay kapag naparami ng gamit. But when you see the effects (beading), it puts a smile on your face.
Sir, pwede malaman brand ng acid rain remover? Thanks!

Yes sir Sleep, white vinegar is great for water spots and stains because of its acid content as well. Just apply a good cleaning agent afterwards to remove any residue.

Total DIY'er ka pala talaga Doc. I used to do that for our old Samurai (U.S. version '82 Jimny) because I couldn't find blades that would fit in the locking mechanism at the time. Just like you I removed the old rubber and replaced the rubber only. I have a pair of curved needle-nose pliers to help with locking the ends.

I tried dilluted vinegar once and i find it inefficient.
I ended up using the whole small bottle. Plus, nakakainis ang amoy. Hehe

I was taught by a detailer to just let a medium soaked paper towel (they use old newspapers) lay flat for a few minutes on the section of glass that needs to be cleaned, so the acid of the vinegar can work its magic on the stains.

The smell is less than ideal, I'll admit.

Same goes for the toilet bowl, but we use rags instead [emoji3]

I thought that a 2 liter bottle of Coke was effective in cleaning the Iron Throne?

    Never tried it though.

White vinegar is quite useful for cleaning stained drinking glasses and ceramics as well.

The problem with Coke is you cannot leave it for so many hours without attracting ants

That I don't know Sir Travs, but I tried it when we had a lot of free regular coke from a certain promo and we did not want to drink all that sugar. [emoji2]

True that sir and leaves a sticky residue besides, extra work for whoever's cleaning.

White vinegar all the way, I say.

Haha, just pulling your leg sir. I'm only allowed ACV when I need to clean my bladder and kidneys.

I would imagine Bragg because it's so popular.

    Hehehe. Healthy pa!

BTT: Are there any advantages to using the banana type wipers as compared to the conventional steel framed ones?

Is it just aesthetics or does the shape supposedly make them more effective during high speed driving in the rain?
