VinFast VF 3 coming to PH, will retail below PHP 800K | Autoindustriya
Measuring 3190mm long, 1679mm wide, 1622mm tall, and having a wheelbase of 2075mm, VinFast claims the VF 3 will be perfect for city life. It also has 191mm of ground clearance which is more than enough to tackle speed bumps and potholes in the city.Power comes from an 18.64 kWh lithium-ion phosphate battery pack which gives the VF 3 a range of over 200 km based on the NEDC cycle.
I saw a review of the Vinfast VF8 on Donut Media YT. They had a long list of complaints and questionable design choices. I think this is to be expected as it is a very young brand established in a country with no automotive industry pedigree. Maybe given time they'll improve.
yeah cut them some slackand most so called auto journalists tend to harp on about silly things like hard plastics

i've already test driven the jetour ice cream and i'm pretty sure the vf3 drives like it or maybe even a bit better. if so then it'd be perfectly adequate for short trips around town. fyi the motor is mounted directly to the rear solid axle so that's a lot of unsprung weight
^i'm sure the 800K price is for the leased battery.
I wonder how much they'll price the car & battery
on VF vietnam website vf5 non-lease is 548,000,000 dongs, while vf3 non-lease is 322,000,000
vf5 ph non-lease price is 1191,000 (currently discounted to 1042,000)
so... (1191/548000) * 322000 = approx 700k pesos
if we substitute vf5 discounted price: (1042/548000)*322000 = 612k pesos
so based on vf5 ph pricing the vf3 non-lease should be 700k
40hp though... doesn't sound fun even if you have 100% of that from a standstill.
And the original Beetle engine only had a max 40Hp and 88Nm. And there are still a few Beetles and Kombis running in Baguio. Di naman siguro nilagay sa paleta at sinakay sa eroplano ang mga yun. Even the cheap EVs being reviewed ang primary comment, iba yung acceleration dahil sa torque.
