door lights malfunction [98 Cefiro]

mga sir need help po. we have a 1998 nissan cefiro and yung ilaw sa pintuan niya yung pagbinuksan yung pinto iilaw dapat siya hindi na po umiilaw dati po pwede siya tapos bigla nalang nawala. pinalitan ko na po yung 2 bulb pero ayaw parin pati fuses chineck ko na po ala naman po busted o sira. is it grounded kaya? and i checked the voltage using a voltmeter may reading naman po siya pero around 7 volts lang siya.

The cefiro has this auto-dimming of interior light. right?
kahit isara ang pinto hindi mamamatay ang ilaw until a predetermined time (delay) (para may time makapag seat belt).

in most cars yung interior-courtesy-door light directly lang connected sa door switch. very basic like a refrigerator interior light.

pero yung cars with illuminated entry yung tipong bumubukas agad ang ilaw pag-off ng engine and pag-unlock ng doors kahit hindi pa bukas ang pinto may separate cpu module to control the lights.

putting a different rated bulb or LED might screw electronics inside the cpu.
happened to me on a different car nga lang.

Plan ko itap na lang sa door switch yung dome light.
Refrigerator style na lang kaysa wala.
