Nissan PH might be releasing this Crossover this 4Q 2014.

-Highest fuel efficient (gasoline) FWD AT Crossover without hybrid power (cx5 2.0 is better but what the heck)
    -Zero Gravity seats?
-First Diesel Crossover in the Philippines?
    -Expensive 3row option?
-Nissan Burning Red...better than Mazda Soul Red?

Is this confirmed? I'm waiting for this but I'm not getting my hopes up just yet. I think the new Escape might launch first.

Like the Nissan Sylphy/Sentra, the 3rd generation Nissan Xtrail being assembled in 9 global factories will be offered everywhere. The Diesel variants aren't confirmed yet...but it will be offered in select countries.

Chances are...and initially they will bring the 4x4 2.0 variants.

    1st of all its assumptions.

2nd, this 2.0 engine is a new engine. In terms of fuel consumption 2.0 Xtrail will beat the 2.0 CX5 for sure since the 2.5 Xtrail engine already is within reach of the 2.0 CX5.

3rd, 2.0 Xtrail might only be offered in Japan. Other markets like CA/AU/US all have only 2.5 variants

4th, the 1.6Dci Engine is being test I don't know if this is a Global engine.

I was thinking of picking up a used 2014 Rogue two weeks ago in LA. Decided to opt for a brand new Jeep Cherokee instead. The Rouge looks nice and it should be a hot seller in the Philippines if priced correctly and optioned right.

    Recent article from Autoindustriya...

We chanced upon the details of the upcoming 2015 Nissan X-Trail that Nissan Motors Philippines (NPI) that is scheduled to make its local debut at the 2014 Philippine International Motor Show on September 18-21, 2014 at the World Trade Center in Pasay City.

It is built on the Renault-Nissan Common Module Family (CMF) platform and has a significantly longer wheelbase at 2705mm (2630mm previously) and measures 4640mm long, 1820mm wide and 1710mm tall.

Interestingly, it sits on a wheelbase that's 5mm longer than the Mazda CX-5 and even the larger Hyundai Santa Fe and is 45mm longer than the Toyota RAV4. While longer than the rest of the compact crossovers in the market, it only stretched by 10mm compared to its predecessor.

Design-wise the third-gen X-Trail will also feature Nissan's V-motion design highlighted by LED DRLs (daytime-running lamps) integrated on the headlamps.

Inside, it's spacious interior can fit an ample amount of luggage or fit 7 people inside with the third row EZ-Flex seating system standard for the Philippine market.

Powering the X-Trail is a MR20DD 2.0-liter inline-four engine with Twin CVTC (Continuous Variable-valve Timing Control) rated at 139 PS * 5200 rpm with maximum torque of 198 Nm at 4400 rpm. It will be mated to a Xtronic CVT (Continously Variable Transmission).

Other features mentioned by the Japanese brand is a new Hill Start Assist (HSA) and Hill Descent Control (HDC) that enables the car in upscaling or climbing down steep inclines and the Around View Monitor (AVM) that provides safety and easy parking for drivers.

PIMS 2014 Preview: Nissan X-Trail detailed ahead of debut - Auto News

Really??? Just 139hp with 198Nm of torque? And they expect that to pull a 7-seater CUV? Maybe something around similar output as a Forester or CX-5 will be much better. Or maybe the engine they put in the Altima 2.5L.

Typical Nissan..underpowered again which leads to higher fuel consumption.
