That was a freakin trailer truck that hit the nissan truck. Kahit anong pick-up yun malamang same scenario din.
Fasten your seatbelt! Or else...Driven To Thrill!
When it's you versus a big truck, no matter what you're riding, you're dead.
Even worse, the pick-up skidded sideways into the semi. All vehicles have less side-impact protection and side crush space than frontal crush space. While side impact protection can take probably a 60 km/h hit and make it survivable, the pickup truck was still moving forward while going sideways, making the closing speed probably somewhere between 120-160 km/h.
Crash safety testing for side-impact isn't even half that. Both the US NHTSA and EuroNCAP test at around 50 km/h only.
Even in the safest of vehicles (say, a Volvo or a Mercedes), a side-impact like that is fatal. The only difference is whether you're having an open or a closed casket funeral.
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
normal accidents pag winter ang mag-slide, kahit naka-winter tires pa, lalong-lao kung kakabagsak ng snow at wala pa asin ang kalsada. But I think masyado mabilis ang pickup at nasa gilid masyado.
this month alone, siguro mga 5 times na namin na-experience mag-slide.nakakatakot pag may tumatabi samin na trailer at mas malaking sasakyan kaysa samin. kaya malikot mga mata namin lalo na mabilis dumilim pag-uwi galing work.
But comparing here and in Metro Manila, mas nakakatakot ang mga Bus sa EDSA kay mga trailers dito.
