Nissan Pathfinder halos kapareho lang ng Frontier under the skin. Body panels at interior lang ang naiba.

TD27 na ba ang Pathfinder? Medyo mahina yun (70 bhp lang) so better test drive before buying.

Yung balljoints daw medyo mahina.

kaso i'm more inclined to get a pick-up eh. sarap bihisan. malinis o marumi, astig ang dating.

meron din kasing sinabi sakin yung officemate ko dyan daw sa SFdo, merong mga hi-lux, nasa P350 yung going rate. pormado na daw, as in big tires, ARB-pampanga, lifted, etc.

    anyway, still looking for a 4x4 pick-up for P300k.

Yep, nagpalit na ako ng isang side sa balljoints (right side)... under warrant pa siya nun.

Mabilis yung TD20 pag 2WD siya (i.e. Frontier 4x2)... pag sa Pathfinder 4x4, medyo underpowered/mabagal.

Local Pathfinder was actually the 4x4 version of the Eagle Series pick-up... The US Pathfinder is equivalent to our Terrano (minus the v6 engine).

On the engine, as long as it's properly maintained there's no problem (very reliable TD27). Parts won't be a problem. The downside here is that it's somewhat sluggish as a performer due to the 4wd gearing and added weight (as compared to the similar engined Frontier). Ride will be bouncy too unless you do some mods to the suspension.

Things to check for would be the suspension, rust in the rear bed (check the under parts), and smoke emissions.

The price offer to you is quite good though...

If I remember it correctly, may thorough review ang Top Gear Phils. sa pick-up na yan. Though 4x2 ang naka feature, you might be able to get some tips there.

the brakes are somewhat weak also. lift kits are available, trailmaster 4" lift. and yes its very sluggish. check mo ang rubber sa windshield, aircon trim always cracks. mga centerlink and tierods are the first to give way.

TD27 Engine is very reliable. Nissan Pathfinder Pick up is not built for speed, but as a Multi Purpose Pick up. Kahit Hilux at L200 Strada hindi uubra sa Pathfinder in terms of durability ng Engine. Tested ko na TD25 and TD27 engine of Nissan. Change oil, tune up (adjustment of Valve Clearance), and replacement of fan belts lang maintenance niang TD27 Engine.
