    Good Day mga Paps,

I am planning to buy a car this week, 2nd hand syempre. Am planning to buy a Lancer GLS 2001, Honda Civic VTi or a Nissan Exalta STA. I am now leaning on a Nissan. This will be my first time to ha nissan car and not knowing any pros and cons of a nissa. Can someone answer few of my question before putting a period onto a nissan.

    1. Any Transmission problem with an A/T tranny?
    2. Any suspension Problem? including spings, rockers etc...
    3. Common Engine problem?
    4. Fuel Consumption on a A/T Tranny?

I would really appreciate for your comments and suggestions. BTW I am looking for a Black Nissan Exalta STA anyone selling?

    Many thanks in advance.

    Scratch

    10 on a 1.6 engine is great.

but i would bet most exaltas on the buy and sell lots would get 8-9 (which i still consider normal to good. abnormal is when you get 5-6, like ford expedition). a/t designs have come a long way since the 1979 "hydramatic" types that get 4-6 to a liter. fairly modern a/t cars, if in good shape and driven properly, do not consume that much extra fuel. if you get 10 on m/t, then you'd get 9-9.5. really negligible considering you're super comfy inside and your left leg doesnt feel like a wooden post after a 3 hour traffic jam in edsa.

exalta is a nice car. very well appointed inside. are you getting the leather interior model? please do, the leather feels nice, unlike the cheap leatherette they sell in banawe for 3K a set, the exalta's leather is the genuine article. watch out for overly rundown interiors though, get the freshest looking you can find.

Help on buying a nissan.
