    Ban Motorcycles-Gordon

Baguio City- in the wake of reports that most assassins use MC’s and are never caught,
Sen, Richard Gordon said he has filed a bill seeking to ban motorcycles that lack
Identification from the streets. In a press forum here on Friday, Gordon said the bill also
Seeks to require MC drivers to wear helmets that bear the vehicle’s plate # and Driver’s name. “nobody can ride a MC without a written plate # and Driver’s name on the helmet. So if there is a driver who is running his motorcycle w/o his helmet, we can stop him and ask, Do you have a gun? If he does not meet the requirements, then he has a violation, he said

i think the intention of sen. gordon is for the good of the nation. pano kung may passenger ka? may helmet ID rin?

and i could see that this will be another "raket" for the gov't.

    - helmet etching centers for the driver's name & mc's plate #s (ala emission centers na sa awa ng dyos eh marami pa ring smoke belchers na gumagala)

Naging peace and order issue pa tuloy yung simpleng pagsuot ng helmet. More than safety equipment, it's now going to symbolize police helplessness in enforcing law and order.

Also increase police visibility and improve response time in the event of an attack.

That is stupid. Just like the proposal to ban window tints (because the bad guys will just resort to using panel vans and blind vans).

Like I said, improved intelligence, police visibility, faster response time and stricter implementation of the gun ban.

That is a Dickhead Gordon's stupid idea!
Maybe another legislation may come that Car drivers should wear hats with their plate number clearly marked on both sides so we can see if they maybe stole the vehicle to do a robbery. If they are not wearing a matching hat they can be stopped and asked if they are carrying a gun.

Pedestrians should wear hats with their name and address clearly marked on both sides so when they cause accidents by jay walking we would know who they are.

hmmmm. actually dami ngang hassles pag naka bike eh.
last month, while i was cruising home from makati, going via macapagal - coastal going to my home in las pinas, naka 3 times ata akong pinara eh. puro hingi ng identification ang ginawa. so the usual 20 minute travel time, naging 1 hour.

pero i really would not agree with the proposed putting a sticker on the helmet. daling pekeen ng sticker eh. dali ring nakawin ng helmet.

identification? government issued dogtags kaya? hehehehe. pero madali ring nakawin yun eh.

if ever manakaw, malamang na reported stolen yng MC and d naman basta basta gagawa ng move mga pulis kng hndi tatakbo yng MC pagpinara nila ito and if hahanapin ng owner yng MC nya, ay makukuha nya lng to sa mga pulis ksi nakaimpound if ever mahanap and pwde gamitin as evidence.

the intention is good but pag-isipan naman sana mabuti yung batas. napakadali lang lusutan yan kung talagang paplanuhin yung assasination. sticker na false name lang ilalagay sa helmet at fake plate number ang gagamitin, wala nang sisita sayo..
