The EX is dead. I totalled the car few months ago in an accident. Fell asleep at the wheel. I was able to sell off the car a few weeks ago.

As for the ASX, I have modified it already with unichip, headers and K&N drop-in filter. Engine performance has improved although not as much as compared with the EX. I have kept the stock suspension and wheels. Handling is good and predictable without much yawing during fast cornering.

Future plans for the ASX might be 18in wheels and wider tires to improve the grip in the corners. As is, the 17s give the ASX a max cornering speed of 80kph (with excellent gradual breakaway of traction) in my tanay, rizal run, roughly the same with the EX on it's stock 16s. The EX with its 18s reached 100kph on the same curves at tanay, rizal.

I wasn't expecting GH to be the type of person to fall asleep behind the wheel

If you were given the chance to trade the ASX for your ex-EX (sorry for the pun) on the premise that it's accident-free. Would you get the EX?

I am only human. Late nights do take their toll.

Given that I have had the ASX for a few months, I am really enjoying the ASX over the EX. Why? Maybe the unique look of the vehicle against the others. The better interior of the ASX vs the EX is actually worth the price difference.

Kinda weird no? ... maybe I am mellowing out these days.

One thing I am tempted to do but will not really go ahead with is lowering the ASX. I am tempted to lower the ASX simply to see if it can look better than a Lancer EX GTA. But I think I don't really need to lower the ASX because I think I can get better results installing bigger and wider wheels with a wide fender kit plus an EVO-X inspired front bumper. ASX-Evolution!!

BTW, I do still have that need for speed.
