I saw a 3 letter plate [looks like a real plate number] about 3 days ago... it has no LTO sticker so i think its really not a real plate.. i saw it on his rear...

is this a real plate? Im just aware of the vanity plate that has

3 letters and 2 numbers... but not 3 letters only or 5 letters...

Yes it's real... That's the so called vanity plates... Just4u, 55555, Manila etc...

Yung abc 22, rrr888... Yan Yung mga special or personalized plates.

Ang vanity plate kung isang piraso lang kukunin mo, dapat sa likod nakalagay. Pero karamihan sa harap naglalagay eh. Tsaka di yun kailangan ilagay sa taas o sa baba, kapalit talaga yun ng original plates mo.

i applied for AAA 01 plate number format i thought kasi pwede yung 5 letter plate [wala palang 3 letter] it seems you need plate number first and you can only put it on the rear

Special plates walang expiration. Vanity plates renewable every 5 yrs.

Thanks sir boybi. Un nga lang hindi transferable ang special plate yan cguro main disadvantage imo compared to a vanity plate.

Pag naka-vanity plate o 2 digit special plates?

Alam ko kahit naka-vanity plate may coding parin. Unless dalawa ata kunin mo. Hahaha di nila malalaman kung ano totoong plaka mo. Kanina may 2011 2.4L CR-V na vanity plates lang naka-kabit, front and back.. 5 characters lang. Mapera. Haha

Yung vanity plates ba legal yan kung ipatong sa harap ng PH plates sa harap? Ang alam ko kasi hindi eh, pero wala pa naman akong naririnig na pinapara kasi ganun yung orientation ng plates nila... unlike sa mga naka comm. plates, marami nang hinuli.

Nag papalakad na ako ng 5 letter vanity plate sa LTO liaison ng dealer ko. D ko pa alam how much pero ill update everyone regarding sa facts...

update ko kayo... nanglumo nga ako i thought hindi ako pwedeng kumuha kung may plaka ka na dapat pala may plaka ka daw muna..

in case may nakakaalam na ito yung mga gusto kong masagot:

1. How much for 5 letter vanity plate. my name is unique so im sure wala pa nun.
2. how many can i buy
3. can i put it front and back
4. with regards to coding, im 100% sure you will follow your normal plates coding
5. how long is the processing

Well, this is the official info with regards to vanity plate.

1. its different from commemorative plate. it lasts 5 years (renewable lifetime) and is transferable for life to different private vehicles as long as same owner.

2. alphanumera 3 to 7 letters like. 001,AHA,JACKFS,SWE3TIE,COCONUT,1234567. Subject to availability and approval. you are not allowed to make confusing vanity plate like GENERAL,PNP,PRES,PHPRES,MEDIA... Etc

3. will take about a week to be processed and will be delivered thru courier. price is 10,000 for the 3-7 alphanumeric.. 15,000 for the reverse plate [ 123 abc ]

4. ONLY 1 plate will be issued and should be place at the back of the car. unlike commemorative plates, you can completely hide the rear orig plate and use the vanity plate.

5. requirements

vehicle cr, or, completed lto form 23, payment

6. only issued at LTO main [east ave]

7. you cannot use commemorative plates once you have vanity plate.

8. special vanity plates are subjected to bidding [50,000+] such as: 1234567, XXX, MANILA, BAGUIO, 001 AAA, 0000000
