Most, if not all Euro cars have been using this design for years.
So there's really nothing new here.
Maganda lang protection sa mga malaking bato na madaanan mo sa ilalim na maaring sumayad sa oil pan at ibang piyesa na mababa.
While more expensive European cars are smoother... most non-supercars don't have full-body underbody cladding because it makes maintenance more difficult and is vulnerable to damage... unless it's the heavy metal variety skidplates found on higher end SUVs.
Nowadays, cheaper cars use underbody wing spats in front of the wheel wells and lips behind the bumper (look at the Jazz) to keep turbulence under the body to a minimum without adding a lot of weight or expense.
