Nakalagay po kasi sa warranty handbook ko na dapat ipa check sa casa and change oil ang kotse either every 3-4 months, or pag naka +5km ka na. Gusto ko sana mag avail ng warranty ng Mitsubishi, but im not too sure if pwede pa. Religious naman ako nagpa check and change oil sa 1km and 5km. Sabi nung mitsubishi guy, they base on the mileage more than on the time. My car is now at 9km, so short pa sa +5km, pero lumampas na ako sa 3-4 months. I wonder if pwede pa ang warranty. Has anyone else experienced this?

    Thank you

Basta sa casa ka nagpapa pms, pwede mo pawarranty.

Btw, anong part ang papawarranty mo?

Ung engine po sana, if there's something deeply wrong with it. Ako po ung nag post sa ni-replyan nyo about the tapping sound sa engine pag inandar ang AC or paminsan pag mag apak ng accelerator. Hindi ko pa natingnan ung RPM kasi di ko muna dinala ang kotse sa office

without hearing that sound, we're just all speculating here.
and speculation sometimes costs a lot of money.
what you need, is a learned ear to hear it.
possibilities include anything from normally expanding metal, to a loose nut and bolt, to coins in the glovebox, to somethings even more serious and expensive.
    good luck.

    por ejemplo,
in my non-mitsu, a tapping sound was traced to loose air cleaner housing cover. "we forgot to put the clamps back on."

    Agree.

Yung Mirage nga eh offer pa nila is 5 years warranty & free labor charge during that period. Technically, they do that to keep you coming back to them for the next 5 years, free nga labor pero tatagain ka sa parts & fluids. Pero bring things back to them for warranty claim... "naku sir, hindi covered yan."

However helpful everybody wants to be, mahirap ata magbigay ng opinon based on a description lang in a forum. Engine knock from premature ignition, valve lifters needing adjustment, or a a tool left wedged in some corner of the engine compartment (it can happen, believe me!)

If the sound is caused by any of those, magkano po kaya ang estimate ng cost for repairs pag sa casa vs sa talyer?

Again i apologize if i seem to be asking the obvious. Im not auto savvy :/

Its ok, kaya nga tayo nagtatanong because we don't know.

Problem nga lang, walang makaka-diagnose niyan here. Everybody will just be throwing wild guesses unless we can see/hear personally.

Best bring it to a mechanic you trust and have them look/listen & tinker with it and see what he/she has to say. Pa estimate ka muna then pa second opinon ka here sa forum sa findings niya.

A tapping sound caused by low oil levels? Who told you that?!?!? More likely you'll see the oil warning light on your display before your oil gets low enough to cause that much of a problem.

When i had it checked sa neighborhood mechanic kahapon, he checked the engine (pero di sya nag kuti2 ng mabuti kasi under warranty pa), and ang sabi nya baka ung timing chain raw ang problema. :/

I remember a few years ago, there was that annoying sound in our CR-V whenever I make a sharp turn. After a couple of weeks of hoping that the sound will go out on its own, I finally decided to open everything that I can.

I found a screwdriver! The place where I found it is "reasonable" for me. What is astonishing was the socket wrench underneath the seat, not under the seat but the one in-between the seat itself and the frame.

Ok naman warranty ng mitsubishi. Was able to replace 2 wheel bearings and radiator fan with minimal questions. I am not quite sure where you got "hindi covered yan".

Anyway, the casa I go to only checks vehicle mileage for the PMS. To the threadstarter, try using a different type of fuel. The mirage is very picky with the fuel you put in it.

Also, I am guessing that you are far from the city. A mechanic that knows modern engines may not be available in your area.

If it is indeed the sudden gas change, reversible pa po ba to? Will they need to take apart the engine if ito ung cause?

Edit: A friend of mine had this happen to an old multicab of theirs. I didnt get to ask kung gaano kadami na gas ang na pump in nila before it broke, but according to her, sobrang damaged daw ung makina and it cost them a lot just to fix it. Im hoping na dahil mas bago ang makina ko, mas na withstand nya ang damage, if any

Wala pa po. But i'll try to have it checked soon. Im not auto savvy so i wouldn't know what to look at Question lang po, if the tapping sound is caused by my change in the gasoline i use, will it more likely go away once i go back to my usual v power nitro gasoline?

Tapping sound can be caused by many things. Given mirage nvh. So i would not rule out that the sound is caused by something other than the engine.

But yes. You can try to change back to your old gas just to rule it out. But you need to empty out your current one. Might be a bad batch or something else.

rhaixxa i will call you rhianna para mas mabilis ko maitype

Kahit ano religious mo magpa pms sa mitsubishi casa eh papahirapan ka pag usapang warranty na tapos makina pa involve. Exaggerated yung 3 to 4months. Ang mas ok 10,000kms or 6months keribels na.

Nagtatapon ka lang ng pera at hindi mawawarranty yan.

PAg tunay na may sira or recall eh kahit bihira ka magpa-pms sa kanila eh irerecall yan.

    Lol go right ahead.

So are you saying that i shouldn't take it to the casa instead? :/ but yeah im really hoping they won't cheat me out of my warranty. I guess the chances are slim I hope it isn't engine trouble, especially since sobrang bago pa ng makina. I was planning to sell this by the end of the year pa naman because im going to move.

Will this leave permanent damage to my engine, if gas nga ang issue? I checked my manual and it says 87 lang pala ang required na octane. Ung shell fuel save na nilagay ko is 91 octane. I thought switching to a "non special" gasoline would be fine...
