Sound Quality of 2017 Montero Head Unit

To all owners of all new montero, kamusta sa inyo ang sound quality ng head unit ng 2016-2018 all new montero, yung sakin parang lata ang tunog despite
adjustments sa equalizer (kulang na kulang ang bass), unlike sa tunog ng 2014 Gen2 montero (stock unit) ko maganda ang bass despite GLX variant lang and nilagyan ko lang ng tweeters, how about your? Thanks

Sa akin palit lahat ang speakers na pioneer, lagay ng pioneer na amplifier at pioneer na active subwoofer at deadening para gumanda and sound niya.

afaik, ok na yang head unit. if improvement sa tonality habol mo at a minimal cost, palit ka lang ng better quality na front speakers at ipa-deaden yung front doors. big improvement na yan compared sa stock. kung kulang sa bass, yung mga underseat subs can help. if you want naman louder at gumastos sa better sound quality car audio, palit ka hu at speakers, dagdag ng amp, subwoofer, deadening ng doors, custom enclosures etc. check out shops like jc car audio, timsaudiogarage, mickey's, simplesound and others for reference.

Lahat na naka lagay na speakers sa premium ay ordinary speakers kaya yung output ay ganun nalang.

akala ko ako lang ang nakahalata sa tunog ng audio system natin sa montero. kahit anong gawin ko timpla sa equalizer nya parang walang effect at tunog lata. yung kotse ko na Kia Cerato/Forte at Toyota Vios maganda ng tunog nya kahit stock speaker at Head Unit.

Buti naman at malaki discount na pang upgrade, pang gas, at meron pa siguro pang maintenance..hehe

Pangit talaga audio quality ng AVT units. Dapat change headunit para maramdaman difference.

Pangit talaga. Natest ko na sa tucson dati. 2 brand new unit. Oem from korea na radio vs avt na touchscreen. Mas maganda tunog nung oem from korea. Halata sya

agree. its not the HU but the crappy stock speakers. iirc, one of the leading car audio shop was impressed sa HU ng Gen3 montero because of the tuning feature like time alignment. my old gen2 ay front separates lang pinapalitan ko + deadening/dampening ng doors and good tuning ng installer, solb na. i don't even have an amp or need a subwoofer as the loudness and bass is more than enough to my listening preference.

Lacks bass parin kahit galawin sa EQ na boosted. Mids & treble - so so..

Tried to swap the headunit with a kenwood one and magically improved without even adjusting the eq.

Kaya madami na din nagpapalit ng HU for monty gen 2.

Did you use the stock head unit doon sa gen 2?

My set up sa Gen3 ay fit sa SQ requirement ko. Straight pioneer sa speakers, seps, Ampli, active subwoofer, with deadening thru Jeff Tan. No need to change my AVT HU.

Baka hindi lang talaga pasok sa expectation ko yung build ko. Pero may improvement naman kahit paano.

Will buy the cheap Pioneer dsp na worth 10k baka mabigyan ng justice yung AVT HU output.
