    What I do in my Lancer GLS is to shift to (-) while in D when I need power to overtake and back again to D mode. Or you can also use this sportronic mode to shift lock your gear usually for downhill/uphill roads.

    well i think there is no need to use it more than the D, malalaspag lang aside from added FC. for me very useful siya during engine braking, a gear down then back to D.

    On my 2005 Honda City CVT, I put the shifter on "S" or sports mode when overtaking at the expressway. I think the computer or ECU delays the shifting into a higher gear so my FC may suffer a bit. Then again, I don't have to worry about becoming roadkill on the highway.

    For daily driving, I leave it on "D" most of the time.

    i usually use the sports mode for downhill roads for engine braking.

    In brochures, Sportronic or sequential shifting usually conotates aggressive driving. On the other end of the scale, you can maximize fuel economy by shifting up a little early when conditions are right (ie. flat and level roads/highways).

    Nag email ako sa Mitsubishi just 2 days ago..... kaninang umaga may tumawag sa akin na taga mitsu.... regarding nga dit0 sa sportronic, pinaliwanag sa kin ang mga tamang pag gamit... kung kailan ka dapat mag shift from 1 to 6 at yung Ds. sabi nya.... kung patatakbuhin mo ang car mo pwde kang magstart sa D going to +/-, ang gear mo nsa 1, then + (2), + (3), +(4), +(5), +(6), malalaman mo kung kailan ka mag-sshift kz sa sound ng engine mo malalaman na dapat mag upshift kana or sa RPM pag tumaas na ng >20 x10 then upshift ka. pwde kang mag shift anytime from sportronic anytime na gustuhin mo or vice versa, Kung gong uphill..... let say naka 4 or 5 ka? mararamdaman mo ang engine mo kung hirap.... kung hirap?... downshift ka ng 3 -2 kung saan mas comfortable ang engine mo syempre depende yan sa tirik ng aakyatin mo.Kung Downhill naman...... at naka 5 ka..... syempre mabilis yan at apak apak ka sa break... doon mo gagamitin ang engine break downshift ka ng 3-2 o 1 depende syo....kaya makikita mo medyo mag sslow down siya. Yung Ds naman,,,, let say naka red light o takbo ka na after payment sa toll gate .... ilagay mo sa Ds yung gear..... kahit kaunting apak lang sa gas... taas agad ang RPM at bilis nyang mag shift to highest gear...kaya mas mabilis sa arangkadahan kapag naka Ds ka...... yung nga lang di ka makakatipid ng gas dahil ang taas ng RPM.

    Maganda talaga ang Mitsubishi isang email lang.... babalikan ka ng tawag para ka tulungan.

    Mitsubishi Sportronic is not an automatic 'sports' program as found in older A/Ts, but it is their name for an A/T with tiptronic (manual mode).
