it depends where in calamba. are you closer to STAR HWY or South Super HWY.

if SSH, then their are two routes, but ill go thru the sta rosa exit and straight to tagaytay.

if STAR, I forgot the exit name, but their is a sign that helps motorist get to tagaytay. the road is more narrow and steep.

basic route - take southsuperhighway then enter the sta rosa exit. from the toll gate follow the signages pointing towards silang/tagaytay. go straight and up all the way passing through bel-air, pnpa campus and leslie's. you'll end up at the tagaytay rotunda at the end of this road.

to correct metatron: from toll gate, turn right, then go straight all the way until you reach the end of that road. and yes, you will pass thru bel-air, many new subdivision, pnpa campus, 7th day adventist, etc.

kung star ka ddaan labas ka talisay exit. paglbas mo makikita mo which way to tagaytay, may sign dun. o kaya sundan mo lang yun mga jip na may signboard talisay. along the road kakanan ka, makikita mo mo naman yun sign na "to tagaytay".actually, sungay road ang kalyeng dadaanan mo. matarik to saka puro sharp curve. ingat na lang... happy trip.

    Alabang

    Susana Heights

    San Pedro (southbound only)

    Southwoods / Binan

    Carmona / Binan

Mamplasan / Liip (ironically, it's still Binan)

    Santa Rosa

Greenfield / Asia Brewery (shortcut to Santa Rosa, coming from the south)

    Cabuyao

    ???

    Calamba

    ----

If you're coming from Calamba, and take the Santa Rosa route, you can get off at Greenfield and take the backroads (don't worry, the way is easy) to Paseo de Santa Rosa. This takes you right to the base of the Tagaytay access road.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

From calamba mas malapit yun via star hi way then talisay but since you are first time traveller suggest you take the route via sta rosa exit. For your return trip back to Calamba via talisay (down hill) to get the feel of the terrain if your car or driving skill is ready for steep climb next time you go back to tagaytay. Good to know the alternative route.

If you're adventurous and an experienced driver, and your car is able and willing, then I am highly recommending this route. This route is relatively 'dangerous' though.

The sharp and winding curves going up is a big challenge for drivers. Going down from Tagaytay is equally exhilarating (and 'dangerous')....

Pre, mag south express ka na lang , exit sa Greenfield/Asia brewery all the way to Paseo Sta. Rosa (commercial complex) traffic light. Then left on the Sta. Rosa/Silang/Tagaytay road. Mas simple to. Baka ma traffic ka pa sa middle ng Calamba and Sto.Tomas or ma miss mo yung Tanauan/Talisay exit sa star toll or ma miss mo yung pa akyat ng Tagaytay at ma punta ka sa ibang bayan around Taal Lake.

    San Pedro
    Southwoods
    Carmona/ Binan
    Mamplasan
    Sta. Rosa
    Greenfields/ABI

sir just a waning if you're going to choose the talisay road going to tagaytay, wag masyado confident sa sarili sa road na ito... talagang po matarik yung route na ito papunta tagaytay... i've tried it a couple of times already and i still feel nervous everytime i'm going to take this route... hirap nung matarik na sharp curve pa yung dadaanan mo...

sir, cabuyao, silangan, pay-toll plaza, mayapa/canlubang, batino, then calamba exit ( the right goes to batangas and the left goes to calamba/los banos)

tagaytay route...
