PAJERO Gen3 at ATC!!!!

The Philippines willl get the Robotic look pajero with the mitsu corporate nose, and not the more elegant original year 2000 Gen3 look. Pero Hindi naman kasing pangit as in the pics. actually quite nice!!!

Diesel Variant is equipped with the 3.2L 4M41 Turbo with grille mounted intercooler. I peed when i saw it in the flesh. The engine is covered with lotsa plastic.

4 speed Auto tranny with INVECS-II Sport Mode. Leather Seating for all seats. 3rd row seats disappear into the floor.

Independent Rear suspension. I know, i know. Who cares?! No one's gonna take this offroad anyway! No ladder frames, but it still has a subframe ala MB W123, and not like the mini Utes like the RAV4 and CRV. Let me just remind the pundits that this is based on the Pajero Evolution's rear suspension. As in the one which won a couple or more Paris-Dakars.

Pangit yung mags!!! IMO, the gen2.5 ralliarts look much better.

Sabi nung lady sales agent: "I'll help you sell your Pajero to get this one" hehehe, how i wish i had enough cash for the balance!

Accepting orders, delivery starts next month.

Since im not really into this one, i'll just fill you guys in on what i've observed....

This is DEFINITELY the best looking mini-SUV out there!!! Heck, it even looks better than the RAV4! And i own a RAV!

If you look at it in pictures, the nose is really really fugly. but in real metal.... ang BANGIS!!! The unit on display is a black one. maybe i'm just biased towards black cars, i dont know....

The interior is very very nice! Classy is the only term i could think of. The aircon vents copy the RAV4's which is an excellent design! Very simple and sturdy, not to mention, very easy to manipulate. I just love the center mounted analog clock! sosy!!!

Astig yung pop up headlamp washers!!!

At 1.2M, okay na rin siguro. It looks more like a wagon than a mini-ute. Fulltime 4WD ata, InvecsII Sport Mode tranny rin. Leather Seats.

From zero to hero ika nga. Combine that with one of the lightest midsize suv bodies and you've got the best on road go go go!

Oh, and i forgot to mention the seating. Excellent forward vision, and the floor is lower than my Gen2, so ang dali lang umakyat and bumaba.

even if it has IFS on all fours, it is easier to lift than the old model. May mga OME springs na for it to lift it 1.5 inches. it joins the ranks of the New Range Rover, Jeep grand Cherokee, Nissan Pathfinder na mga unibody off road capable 4WD's.

Matagal na monocoque ang Cherokee. 1984 pa ata. Hehehehe. Pero solid axles pa din. Hindi pwedeng mag-independent para hindi makapasok sa market ng kanyang pinsan na si Mercedes M-Class.

the jeep liberty has front IFS. dont know lang if SUV din classification ng Pajero IO which has unibody construction also and super select 4wd. and not sure it first came out than the Pathfinder/terrano gen2.

ganda nga ng pajero...parang bubble sya from the drivers seat...ang mahal..pero i think nalugi ngayon yung bumili sa grey importers..

definitely nalugi sila. but then again, if they got the ones with full options (walang sunroof yung local), i guess okay na rin (if the price is similar to 2.5M). I recall may nagbebenta dati ng Gen3 for 3M!!! Asa pa sila!
