Just a question, why does Split Fire cost 3,900 php, Simota 3,500 while the sales at GAEA offer me Saiwa 550php ignition wires? Is it just branding?

Does anyone know any middle-of-the-road branded performance wires? Where could they be bought?

How about Accel and MSD brands?

Hindi po kasi "branded" yung Saiwa. Replacement part po ito.

Yung Split Fire at Simota, they claim to be 'performance products' which will make your engine more powerful daw. Kaya mas mahal sila. Accel and MSD are also performance products.

OEM is original. Talagang mahal ang original.

Kung stock pa naman ang iginition system ng sasakyan (walang MSD box or other upgrades), ok na ang OEM or replacement.

    Thanks for the info.

Checked with ATCO... pang Mits lang pala sila. :whoa:

Anyone knows how much Accel or MSD costs round here?? For comparison lang po, sorta shopping. Panalo na sana sa akin presyo ng ATCO.... ehehe

    Regards,

I don't know how much Accel or MSD would cost pero malamang mas mahal sa orig. Tapos wala ding benefit on your part since stock ang ignition system mo.

ATCO and El Dorado carry only Mitsubishi original parts.

Eldorado is 5616129 just look for Mr. Ging Camu

Hope this doesn't sound like a stupid question but, what are the components of a complete high performance ignition system? What are the benefits of having one?

Thanks in advance for the help.

Hindi ko na ata masasagot iyan. Walang ignition system ang diesel engines. Dinadaan lang sa init.

Got a few tips here ehehe but still don't know why the wires are usually advertised as low resistance, or how does the thickness of the wires affect performance.

    Share ko lang...

Kung low resistance, more of the electricity goes to the sparkplug rather than being used up as heat (mataas nga kasi ang resistance).

Ganun din ang principle for thicker wires. More electricity can go to the spark plugs.

But the question is, does your ignition system really make that much power for resistance to be a problem? For most stock systems, the answer is no.

    Cool Thanks.

Dami ko natututunan... Actually I'm went for an 8mm Sportline (US) which was moderately priced compared sa Splitfire (php 3,600). Kahit na pa kyut lang.

This years' projects, include IHE, Suspension, upgrade... then maybe next year na yung Engine swap... Thus, I probably won't run into an ignition upgrade till next year.

    Thanks for all the info.

how much is the cost of high tension wire of lancer glxi 94 model?
