I just want to share this since my father was in Mitsubishi casa the other day for a service inspection (an airbag issue). However, while our Montero (a 2012 model) is being serviced, he was advised by the service advisor that the tailgate strut support will be replaced for FREE due to safety issue. We have observed that the newly installed is better in terms of look and performance. Curious about this, I have searched and was able to find the above related advisory in DTI's official website released last June 2017.
Sorry if this was posted already, but I can't seem to find similar post hence I created a new one.
