Concern regarding 2010 Montero Sport's transmission / drive-train

Hi fellow Monty-owners!

I drive a 2010 4x2 Montero Sport A/T. Bought it brand new from Union Motors last January 2010. Madalas din ang out of town use ko north and south but mainly Tagaytay ang weekend trips ko. So far mga 17,000 + km ang total mileage ng unit ko. Then 2,000 km after it's 15,000 km check-up, may na pansin akong whinning sound as I reach 80 kph. This sound persists till I reach 90 kph then the whinning sound stops. But at 120 to 130 kph, bumabalik na naman ang sound. Tumutunog lang as I step on the gas pedal, while accelerating. Pero na wawala tuwing bibitawan ko ang gas pedal. Ang whinning sound ay medyo high-pitched, similar to the whinning sound when you drive your rear-wheel drive car backwards, but not as loud.

I will have this checked at Union Motors service dept, soon. All the same, just wanted to know if anyone out there had a similar experience, and if so, ano sana ang naging remedyo sa symptom na ganito!

Hindi ba turbo whine? (which is considered normal)

Or (whining under load) can be due to normal revolution of the propeller shaft under load.

I think it's definitely turbo whine. music to my ears pa nga yun eh, from time to time, i'll lower the volume of my audio just to listen to my turbo sing. =)

baka nga turbo if you hear it past 2k rpm. or maybe whine galing sa ampli/ sounds kung nagupgrade kayo?

i have this on my montero too and it's definitely not turbo whine (turbos sound sweet, but not this)... the sound comes out at 80kph and mawawala ng 90kph irregardless of engine rpm (1500, 2000, 3000).

meron din ako nito.. sigurado hindi galing sa turbo dahil palabas pa lang ako ng garahe may whinning sound na... sumasabay pag apak sa gas pedal
