Lancer EX GLX or MX. Is the price difference worth it?

Hi.

This is going to be my first purchase of brand new. I still have a '93 Glxi Lancer.

I'm planning to get the new Lancer 1.6 EX but kind of thinking if the Price difference for the GLX M/T(and GLX M/T) and MX variant is worth it?

Aside from what the MX has advantage of:

Adaptive Front Lighting System
Chrome insert of the front grille
Door side mouldings
Fog Lamps
GPS
etc.

75k difference for A/T GLX
105k difference for M/T GLX

The SA told me that the GPS can be added for the GLX for 6k only.

Is it worth it?

most of the accessories can be installed outside of the casa for less price.
the only thing i can see that can make the difference is the resale value.

Personally, I would go for the GLX (with GPS upgrade).

You can use the saved P105K difference for a good set of wheels.

Yun din nga iniisip ko..for a nice set of wheels na yung diff..although gusto ko yung adaptive lighting kasi sa kabundukan ako ng antipolo eh maraming likuan dun hehe..im not sure lang kung gaano ka helpful yun :D

upgrade na lang. parang yun lang talaga yung pinaka ok na additional e. i dont know kung helpful talaga adaptive lighting

The MX also has leather wrapped steering wheel (2 tone). The headlights are HID. Auto aircon vs manual sa GLX. Colored multi info display vs. red for GLX. For the 105k difference, I think its worth it.

Taga-Antipolo din ako, at walang adaptive lighting yung Adventure ko pag dumadaan ng Sumulong Highway. Buhay pa naman ako hanggang ngayon. :D

Ok lang yung GPS and foglamps (kung pwede) as add-ons. If you're not going to opt for the chrome inserts on the grille, sulit pa rin.

Yung mga may MX po at GT-A, how helpful po va yung adaptive lighting system?

For me, ok na ko sa glx.. bili na nga lang ng magandang wheels.;)

Di nga masyado pansin. Useful to pag out of town trips and madilim. but the mx is hid projector na naaadjust ung level whereas ung glx is the normal reflector headlamp lang. Ok na din ang glx if di naman maselan. U can install most of them naman aftermarket. Mas madali pa iblackout ung bumper kasi wala ng chrome.

Forgot to add na b-pillar for mx is blacked out while body color for glx

For me GLX ka na lang and yung money na mase-save mo idagdag mo na lang for Fog Lights, Spoiler and Mags

The only usefull na nasa MX is i think the GPS, Fog Lights and HID + Front lighting system. You can get the GPS as freebie on the GLX if you can haggle it to your SA like mine, one of the freebies yung GPS SD Card

Idk, the optitron seems like a deal breaker for me, haha. Silly as it seems, i like cars with great l0oking instrument clusters. Sana nga may manual variant yung MX.
