Only get HID upgrades if your headlights are properly retrofitted with projectors. Having said this, you can go with Osram Nightbreakers and Fogbreakers respectively. These are halogens and can make use of your existing headlight and foglight assemblies.

it is laudable that TS is thinking of his safety.
i do hope that, when the time comes, the oncoming motorists are not blinded by his radiance.

hi sir *dr. d, the reason behind this is, though di malabo ang mata ko (20-20) vision pa naman, pag naulan kasi lalo't malakas, hirap sa kalsada ng stock na headlight gamit ko, wala pa akong fogs para sumuporta. di ko din naging ugali ang mag-HI ng ilaw ko especially pag salubungan ang kalsada...nahihiya kasi ako sa kasalubong ko at i respect them. sa amin, coming from Deparo Caloocan, going to Novaliches palabas ng Sauyo eh napakadilim ng mga kalsada, lalong hirap pa pag bumuhos ang malakas na ulan samahan mo pa ng foggy na windshield.

    i understand, po.
my concern is, the upgrade may be advantageous to the upgradee, but its glare might be detrimental to the oncoming motorist.
i am simply wishing, that upgrades should also include proper shielding against glare, even if it is the more expensive way to go.

    my theory is,
with standard bulbs, stray light ("glare") is too weak that oncoming motorists are not bothered by this stray light.
but once the light source is upgraded, the stray light becomes much stronger, and is now going to affect the oncoming motorist. in this instance, reflectors should also be upgraded, to "tame" the light beam into a tighter direction.

ang naiisip ko lang is, say i will upgrade my bulbs sa mas malakas na ilaw...siguro we just have to make sure na tama ang "tutok" ng ilaw at di nakakasilaw sa kasalubong na sasakyan. kung madami lang akong pera, sana nagprojector na ako..hahaha!

i have been driving for over 25 years.
and one thing i have to keep telling myself. "if you have to use your lights, it means you should also drive more slowly".
those roadway speed limit reminders on the road, are meant for bright daylight or ideal driving conditions.

From experience, yung tinitinda na fog lamps sa market at pure porma lamps only.

Kung pinaandar mo na, useless. Halos walang difference.

For your HL, stick to stock wattage.

About color temperature, AFAIK stock factory lamps are 4000k. Night breakers are around 4300k. The lower the number, more yellow. The higher number, mas maputi/bluish.

Mas visible ang 4300k na color temp. Yung mga 5000k and up, maputi na. Tried both 5000k and 6000k on my projectors. Di ko gusto. Puro shadow lang nakikita ko. Returned to 4300k

sir *sirkosero, having said that, it is safe to say na ok ang combination ng HL (4300k) at fogs na (3000k, super yellow). super yellow para sa maulang panahon at kalsada then 4300k para sa madilim na kalsada

Yung 3000k masyado na yan dilaw. Will work kung lagi ka nasa foggy mountains. In my old car, used a super yellow bulb for fog lamps. Nilagay ko din sa aftermarket fog lamp assembly.

Ayun. Useless. Porma lang, sabog ilaw, nakakairita daw sabi ng nakakasalubong. From inside the car, kapag naka-on ang fog lamps, parang naka park lights lang ang dating kasi wala talaga dagdag output.

Kapag naka on na headlights, lunod na ang ilaw ng fogs.

Personally, stick to stock colors lang ako. That will be around 4300k.

Pero you might want to consider all weather bulbs na din. I think osram din brand neto. Mas dilaw than stock pero mas maputi than super yellow

yup! based sa mga napansin ko, ang 4300k ang best fit (for all weather) nga...maputi ito na medyo yellowish. so ok ang 4300k for both pala. may sinasabi silang H4, H7 at H11..i have no idea what they're referring to...hahaha!

Those are bulb types dependent on the vehicle. Nasa manual yung applicable sa car mo.
