Adventure GLS Sports or Adventure Super Sports?

Kareregister ko lang ngayon sa tsikot. Before mag pasko balak ko sanang mabilhan ang magulang ko ng AUV. Napili ko itong adventure dahil maliban sa mas mura siya kompara sa ibang Top AUVs sa bansa, maganda naman yata ang interior nito at di mahihirapan ipagpasok sa gate dahil ang Width di gaano malaki.
Meron lang akong mga katanungan sa mga nakapagmay-ari na nito:
1. Nalilito ako kung ano model ang bilhin ko, GLS Sports or Super Sports?
2. Anong pagkakaiba nila? gusto ko sana yong may reverse sensor para di mahirapan mag atras ang mga matatanda.
3. Gas ba ang dapat bilhin or Diesel?
4. Anong advie ang fuel efficientl?
5. At ano ang mga positive at negative na na experience nyo sa advie?

I'm out of the country kasi, e matanda na mga magulang kaya gusto ko palitan ng bagong sasakyan para di sila mahirapan kung masira dahil bago. Some of my friends discourage me to buy it dahil luma daw ang advie but di ako nakikinig sa kanila, e pera ko naman ang ibibili ko at ako naman ang makikinabang. Gusto ko tatagal ang sasakyan. Province gagamitin, sa region X.

First of all magkano ba sir budget mo, baka may mai-suggest na mabuti mga tsikooters

we have a diesel advie and serves us well for already 6 years, and till now ok pa
downside nga on advie is old model na sya, madami na bago.

minsan lang gagamitin(for simba, shopping at importanteng lakad lang), pero gusto ko AUV para iisang sasakyan lang kami kung magbabakasyon sa pinas.
gusto ko brand new at 2008 model kung meron man.

welcome to tsikot sa dalawa, mas pipiliin ko ang GLS sport kahit basically mas maganda ng konti ang interior ng Super Sport dahil yung spare tire holder nito ang magiging problema everytime may isasakay ka sa likod dahil kailangan mo pa siyang unahing buksan sa labas, isa na rito ang ikaw mismong bababa para dito dahil baka hindi alam ng iba, masira pa or makatama ng iba.

sarado na ba talaga isip mo sa adventure? sa bagay tingin ko nga go for diesel variant.

but sabi nga, sa 900K budget mas marami kang pwede i-consider. check mo dami nagbebenta ng halos mga bagong advie.

I've been an Adventure owner for four years now, yung sa biyenan ko mga eight years na. The downside to the Adventure is its age (more than 10 years old), but its also an advantage, since its a testament to the design's longevity.

As for your questions:

1. Depende sa iyo. The Super Sport has the features of GLS Sport plus, kaya lang, the SS is only available in diesel (not good if you want the acceleration of a gasoline engine). Tsaka personally, hindi ko gusto yung tailgate-mounted spare tire ng SS eh, hindi kasya sa garahe, kaya GLS Sport ang kinuha ko.

2. Like I said, the SS has the features of the GLS Sport, with a few differences (larger fender flares, larger wheels, different aircon controls, different spare tire location, no mudguards, tire pressure monitoring unit). Yung sa GLS Sport ko, hindi kasama yung backing sensor, so pinakabit ko pa sa casa. Pero I'd suggest a rear parking mirror na lang imbes na backing sensor. Much more effective in avoiding rear obstacles, at hindi pa magastos sa baterya.

3. Kung hataw ang habol mo, sa gasoline ka. Kung hatak naman, diesel. I chose diesel kasi sa bundok ako nakatira at mura pa ang diesel nung binili ko yung unit. Pero I'd still choose diesel since relatively less ang konsumo niya, considering the Adventure's weight.

4. Fuel efficiency depends on a lot of factors i.e. engine, transmission, driving conditions (mas fuel efficient kung puro highway driving, as compared to mixed highway and city driving). In my case, my diesel Adventure is pretty fuel efficient with careful driving habits plus biodiesel, although not as fuel efficient as an Isuzu Crosswind.

5. Negative experience? Hindi pa rin binabago ng Mitsubishi yung C-pillar ng Adventure (masikip yung headroom pag sa side-facing third row seats, buti na lang yung sa akin front facing lahat). Positive experience, the Adventure is extremely, and I mean EXTREMELY reliable, lalo na yung diesel variant. Nadala ko na sa Bicol at sa Subic with no problems. Hindi ko ilalaban sa bilis ng akyatan since medyo mababa ang horsepower rating, pero sa patagalan pwedeng-pwede isugal, kaya kahit more than 20 years na yung 4D56 diesel engine, ginagamit pa rin sa Adventure. At bago pa nauso ang CRDi, nanguna na ang 4D56 sa pagiging tahimik kahit umaandar; hindi mo iisipin na diesel ang makina kasi konti lang ang noise and vibration sa loob ng cabin.

+1 to this. luma na nga ang adventure. pero very, very reliable. siguro diesel na lang ang mas magandang kunin mo since matatanda naman yung gagamit at di naman cguro msyadong adik sa speed.

tnx sa reply. im on the research palang naman. I'm still reviewing the other brand and models. Advie is one of my top choices at ito rin isa sa nagustohan ng mga biyanan ko. Sila kasi ang gagamit, gusto ko palitan ang auto nila. Pag may nakursonadahan na akong model based sa mga reviews ko sa forum saka ko sila papuntahin para tingnan kung ok ba sa kanila iyon, but ako pa rin ang masusunod dahil ako ang bibili. Wala kasi akong mapagtanungan kung about sa advie.

ang naisip ko rin diesel but if marami sa mga naka experience na ng advie ay magsabi na maganda ang gas so siguro yan ang pipiliin ko. About sa speed, almost 70 yrs old na sila na gagamit, mahina na magmamaniho at maingat sila ayaw ng pabilisan at ang mother lang at ako kung uuwi ang magmaneho, syempre kasama pamilya kaya tamang-tama lang ang speed. sa city nakatira di naman gaano traffic like in manila pero gagamitin din sa bukid dahil may bahay din sila doon.

Sir saan kayo sa Region X-- Mis. Occ/Mis. Or/Bukidnon/Camiguin/Lanao del Norte?

Looks like set ka na sa Adventure.

Well, it is cheaper, more loaded with amenities, offers more interior refinement, and fairly reliable compare to its nearest competitor in the AUV segment (Isuzu Crosswind).

But don't get your expectations high:
-for one, it is slow with a horsepower rating of about 80 lang.
-masikip.
-pag-loaded nakadapa na suspension.

Overall, its a vehicle you can live with. Hanggang ngayon naman marami parin bumili. This is the vehicle that sustain Mitsubishi Philippines during its lean years.

But for a budget of 900T, the Innova E or J is actually a better option as this MPV is bigger and rides comfortably. Mga matatanda pa naman ang sasakay. Matagtag kasi ang Adventure. Bakit di ba kasya ang Innova sa garage nyo? If Innova buy the gas variant.

Another option is the Nissan's Grand Livina. But its more suited for the city. Hindi pang bundok.

Personally, I prefer the diesel variant of the Adventure. Malakas sa gas kasi yong pang-gasolina. BTW, my mother-in-law has one as a daily drive.

As to your query, The GLS Sport is a much better option. The Super Sport variant is just too "trying hard" to get the ambiance of a Fieldmaster Pajero complete with a spare tire in the tailgate. Hassle lang. And yeah, get the front-facing 3rd row as the third pillar acutely slope forward compromising headroom as others have said.

if this is the case, the Crosswind could be a better option. For one, its bigger. Second, it looks better.
