Great news for those waiting for the Strada VGT

Today Mitsubishi announced the Strada GLS Sport V (A/T) 4x4

They also have announced a new GLX V (A/T) 4x2

"MMPC will also be launching 2-new variants of the Strada double cab pick up, the 2.5 GLX-V 4x2 A/T and the 2.5 GLS Sport-V 4x4 A/T. Similar to the Montero Sport, both new Strada variants are now more powerful, thanks to its 2.5 liter 4-in-line DOHC Variable Geometry Turbocharger and Intercooler 4D56 common rail direct injection diesel engine that creates a maximum power of 178Ps/4000rpm and a maximum torque of 350N-m/1800~3500rpm The Strada GLX 4x2 comes with a 4-speed automatic transmission while the 2.5 GLS Sport-V 4x4 will have a 5-speed automatic transmission with sportronic feature that brings out the convenience of an automatic transmission and the excitement of a manual feel."

The P1,295,000 GLS sport V gets 5 speed A/T, Multimedia/SatNav, as well as VGT engine. Now that's a good spec.

The new addition of the GLX V 4x2 A/T will set you back P1,030,000

I would say now time is as good as anytime to make a split. IE archive the other one; just like before.

Am not sure. I suppose when all old stocks are depleted. But seeing as they have already announced it on their website; it must be already in the country ready to ship to dealers very soon.

maybe with the exception of the rims and the flares, overall dimensions should be the same.

"Improved practicality has also been factored into the facelifted Triton: the cargo bed has been lengthened by 180 mm and is 57 mm higher."

Hope they have adopted this to the strada. UK L200 and Aussie Triton models i presume have this type of cargo beds based on pictures. Don't like the old strada cargo bed with a curvature.

Regards!

Hello Guys, good day and hope all is well.
Im planning to buy Strada GLX VGT 2011. can you help me advise the fuel consumption and checklist for me to use as reference during turn over of the unit?
Also what would be the good freebies that I need to ask from dealer?
Actually my first choice was GLX variant but seems GLX VGT is very powerful and confortable.

Thank you and appreciate all your inputs.

Best regards,
rAin
