mga sir patulong naman sa problema ko.
meron po akong pajero exceed 2800 4m40 a/t,

ang problema nya po pag nag shift na sya sa 40kph, tumataas na yung rpm nya ng tuloy tuloy. pag dating sa 70kph 2700 rpm na sya. pag dating sa 80kph 3000 rpm na. sa 90kph 3500 rpm.

ma-aadjust po ba ito sa throttle cable? (egr valve sarado na po. )
or are there other diy tips na pwede pa pong gawin?

    sir,
yun 4m40 engine natin ay nag upshift sa OD pagdating ng approx. 64kph with 2100rpm. when 90kph at 2500rpm. then at around 3200rpm umaabot na yun sa 110-125kph.

OD upshift is dependent on the engine temp. meaning kung malamig ang engine hindi ito mag upshift to OD. dapat 1/3 temp sa gauge. meron akong nabasa sa isang thread dito na pwede ma bypass yun temp sensor para pwedeng mag OD upshift kahit malamig ang engine. pero I suggest not to do this. 4m40 engine is efficient with the right temp (1/2 reading sa gauge).

another possibility is the speedometer. hindi rin mag OD upshift kung sira ang speedometer. kasi meron din speed sensor yun tranny which upshift is the correct speed is achieved. in my case, 2nd gear change at 14-17kph, 3rd gear change at 35-40kph, then OD at 60-65kph.

I suggest you do the following:
    1. disconnect (not remove) all the electric connectors at the tranny and clean them with the right electric contact cleaner ( spray-type, but not with WD40). I think there are 6 of those sensors.
    2. flush and change ATF fluid (correct type as per manual). clean or replace the filter. nun nagpa fluid change ako, naging mas smooth ang gear change. before it was rough and sumusipa. ngayon swabe na.

I hope these will solve your problem.

Bago sa last resort mo .Suggestion ko change ATF fluid na sa spec ng manual mo at Clean the filter inside kadalasan ganito nagiging problema pag marumi na ATF Fluid ng automatic transmission.

I tried connecting the black wire with white stripe to the battery's negative, no change occurred.
    Help anyone?
