Help naman mga peeps. my spare tire cover got damaged while backing up.
went to mitsubishimotors pampanga but they said they dont sell paint only. Gusto nila sa kanila papagawa 7,000 ang minimum repair. unlike honda that gives 1 quart of paint for every car. I think pareho lang color ng lpajero at adventure sa lower part. Paint for plastic, Paint name and exact color sana. di kasi maganda magpahalo paint halata pag nasa araw. Thanks in advance sa inyo.

Most professional repair shops would be able to get the approximate color but make sure the painting process is the same to get the same results.

sir roydok alam mo po ba ano orig paint gamit ng mitsubishi? same din pala color sa strada mo. ganun pala sa casa ayaw nila magbenta ng paint lang.

The color should be written in the "VIN plate" under the hood. Kung nasa pampanga ka try visiting Kimpoy (madalas sa diesel forum ng tsikot board) sa ALMO Hardware sa may bayan ng San Fernando....he sells paints...meron siyang color guide na lumabas para sa lahat halos ng sasakyan, he can even recommend you where to have it sprayed in case you don't have a spray setup.

Some paints do change in color (nag fafade or nagiging dull) through time...so don't expect that even "stock" paint color na nasa touch-up canister na originally provided ng casa would also automatically match up your body color when you spray it. Hindi siya ganun lalo na kung more than a year na ang ride mo tapos madalas bilad pa sa araw.

Yung molding color ko before was "Satellite Silver". Halos match sa tire cover. If i were you, magpahalo ka na lang sa paint shop para sakto :D

Mahirap pala pag pakonti konti ang pintura mo.
May nakikita ko pajero dito halata mo yung mga masilya sa paint.

KimpOys hardware/paint supply store (ALMO) is located in San Fernando, Pampanga....kung hindi malayo para sa inyo....his branch is inside the town proper along the main road that leads to the church ng San Fernando if you're coming from Minalin. Details would be sent perhaps by Kim pagbalik nila sa HighPeak.

I don't think he is doing paint jobs...he sells only the paint...but he can refer you to their clients who could do the job.

When I damaged my pick-up rear side and some front side, I had it repainted at P2000 labor and paint was about P1000...so I ended shelling our P3000. Mas mura siguro yung sa iyo in the paint job portion kasi moulding lang...yun akin was a "body" paint kaya ganun. The paint cost will give you variable cost depending on brand (I used Dupont) and type (acrylic or urethane ba). Siguro acrylic could do the trick na for your ride kasi mouldings lang naman...you can even have all of the mouldings repainted para pantay ang kulay ng lahat...ganun din sa tire cover mo.

Computerized ang paint formulas kina KimpOy. I saw the formula for a Ford Expedition nung nandun ako. Hindi katulad sa mga ibang paint shop na tantsa-tantsa, hula-hula ang mixing. Kina kimps to the last gram ang formulas na ginagamit. PPG global refinish system ata sila pero di ako sure.

Hindi ba straight color ang gamit ng casa? Diba usually may aftermaket paints yan like yung sa Aventure-Galaxy Blue, L300-Allegro Green, Yung bagong green ng L300-Forest Green etc. etc.? :roll:

Straight nga pero you have to account for wear and tear (fading, staining, etc.). Kaya mas maganda gumamit ng PPG/DuPont dahil 'global refinish system' sila. Anywhere in the world pwede ka nilang i-mix kahit wala yung specific brand (discontinued, etc.) ng paint mo. Adjustable pa ang value.

got my spare tire cover paiinted dupont paint sinabi ko sa gumawa. Thanks sa mga help niyo guys. pati yung moulding ng old pajero namin same color na sa spare tire cover ko. nagmukha nang bago rin. napansin ko lang yung mga scratches dati makikita mo parin yung line, pag titiigan mo. kahit namasilya na. pede mo namang ibalik dun sa gumagawa yun (back job)...normally kasi ginagamintan iyan ng very fine sand paper (800 and up na grit) during the primer spray stage...then pagnaspray na ng color another sanding (1200 and up na grit)....until final (the one with clear coat).

Para maalis ang "orange peel" look, a very very fine sandpaper (2000 and up na grit) is also a possible solution (but it may damage the clear coat) then couple it with rubbing compound or step 1 ng Meguires, then step 2, and then finally wax.
