Need help in buying Delica SpaceGear.

Hi to all, nagtry na po meng magsearch and magbasabasa about Converted delicas here in the forum, since hindi kalayo ang driving ko sa work and hindi kami mahilig magtravel, i gez sulit sa amin ito, and nabasa ko na dn ung risk ng converted SUV. Napansin ko lng, halos dated 2003-2005 ung mga nabasa kong thread about this van. Ask ko lng po, sa year ngayon sulit pa bang bumili now ng SpaceGear?(Base sa maintenance, parts and conversion process). San po sa mas ok bumili ng Space Gear, sa Subic ba OR sa Users selling their SG sa Car Finder natin dito sa Tsikot? If sa subic, kindly please send me specific Address na pwedeng pagbilhan..sana po matulong nyo ako..

Kung 4 lang kayo sasakay, bumili ka nalang ng Suzuki Alto...

Eto kung bakit:
Price range ng Delica Spacegear is 250 to 300K (Subic with suicidal left side sliding door)
Price range naman ng Mitusibishi Spacegear (local) is 300 to 350K pero less features than the Subic ones
Fuel consumption ng Spacegear sa city driving is around 6 to 7Kms/Liter at current diesel price of 36.50 pesos/liter = 5.21pesos/kilometer

Brand new price ng Suzuki Alto is 350K with warranty pa...
Fuel consumption is 12 to 14Kms/liter at 42pesos/liter = 3pesos/kilometer

Sabihin nalang natin na total travel mo annually is around 5,000kms/year
Sa Spacegear 5,000kms x 5.21pesos/km = 26,071 pesos gastos mo sa fuel per year as compared to:
Sa Suzuki Alto 5,000kms x 3pesos/km = 15,000 pesos

Makakatipid ka ng 11,000 pesos per year on fuel sa Alto at you still get around conveniently in your own wheels. at dahil bago ang sasakyan mo, wala dapat problema for around 3 years or so compared sa buying a second hand one.

bosing ok dun sa delicaclub forums anything u need to know bout deli. I used to have one a Deli star wagon 4X4, had to sell it kasi naka loan sya had to pay it off before i cud leave. Kung space gear so yung may nguso yan with a 4M40 engine, medyo matakaw sa krudo. Yung conversion talaga ang tignan mo maiigi pero AFAIK maganda na daw ang conversion sa subic. Yung sa akin no problems namn ako, had it for 3 years ala nmn major problem. Nasira Ac compressor palit lang ako surplus, ang lamig nun sa passenger compartment. Then kung 4WD pa kuhanin mo astig yan sa baha hehe. Nahirapan lang ako dun pag service ng engine sikip ng engine bay. Pero overall oks nmn yung rig ko nakakamiss nga sya eh.
