^ wala naman sila assurance dyan. tanging advice lang binigay sa akin ng SA ko noong nag cel monty namin ay mag-switch ng diesel brand. ang problema wala ding euro 4 grade na gas station na malapit sa area namin

i guess aside from the smoky disposition of our montys, preventing the build-up of soot in our egr is one of the prime reasons why a lot of monty owners opted to have their egr blanked/blocked. hassle talaga kapag every 20k or so palinis ng egr eh hindi naman siya loose change ang cost ika nga.

Sir have you blanked yours? Mostly ba ng fellow tsikot had Monty blanked their egr? Is it worth it? No regrets?

i had our monty's egr blanked na just last week. it's definitely worth your money and your time. the only regeret i have is that i should have done it 30k kms ago pa

not sure the of the percentage of monty owners here have blanked the egr of their rigs na pero madami-dami na din based sa nababasa ko

if you're interested in having yours blanked/blocked, just pm sir zixx. he's very accommodating naman

dami na din ako nababasa na egr blank pero ako as is padin. nababasa ko lahat puro advantage.

I have very little knowledge of engines and cars in general...

If I have the EGR blanked hindi ba magkakaroon ng "alert" sa engine? Or blanking has to go hand in hand with remapping? Sorry if I dont make sense. I just read whats out there.

Sir back read the thread on "2013 Mitsubishi Montero Sports owners". There is a post there that talks about egr blanking and CEL. I think Sir Zix responded to that post. Anyway the discussion on the issue of egr blanking is extensive and informative. Hope that helps.

not mine sir 2009 gls matic4x2. casa maintained sya since purchase.kahit rev up mo pa ng todo.my answer is hindi lahat ng monty ay mausok sa muffler.im answering base on what i see.di kagaya ng iba basta maka sagot kahit di pa nakikita..hehe peace mga sir...concern ko talaga ay confirmation lang yun smoke sa oil dipstick...ng monty after long drive (engine on) checking the dipstick na wala naman sa ibang unit namen...

Hindi naman, i-try to rev it up to 4K RPM, wala naman "black smoke" na lumalabas..

yes, mausok kaya nga tinatawag na pusit ;) blanking ng EGR lang solusyon para hindi na maging mausok. minsan need mo rin bombahin silinyador mo para maibuga ang makapal na usok at carbon deposit sa exhaust mo.
