This is a leaked photo of what seems to be the next generation Mitsubishi Strada / Triton pick up.

No other details were out yet. But this seems to be taken directly from the assembly line, next to the current generation Strada / Triton pick up.

Whew, ano ba yan! It's like what Isuzu did to the all new Dmax. Nilagyan ng pagkalaki laking chrome grille. I prefer the looks of the current generation Strada especially the 4x4.

Oh dear... I do hope this is not the final product. Everything looks so tacky. Current version definitely looks better.

It doesn't look all new. Many places like the doors, mirrors and rear window look carried over. Is this merely a heavy facelift? And I do hope they don't go slack on the engine department, considering the stiff competition.

Di hamak mas pogi ang new Navarra.

Looks entirely possible thats this is the next gen model. Headlamps and taillamps are reminiscent of the latest Outlander with that small portion reaching out adjacent to the body panels. Mitsu trying to distinguish themselves from the crowd of big, bulky look-alikes in this segment which has worked in their current model. Would change the vertical sloping chrome lines for more modest horizontal bars connecting the headlamps. Oh and the foglamp design could be better if it were incorporated into the bumper and not just generic spherical plastic shapes slapped on in front. Those are just minor though, overall it's an improvement. Sneak preview of the next-gen Montero too?

I'm really more interested in what's under the hood. Don't mind the 4D56 but hopefully they improve on the low rpm torque delivery for a smoother drive.

IMO, not just diff. tail lights but diff. rear bumper and tail-gate as well w/c is why I think this might be just a test mule. They could be in the last stage of choosing w/c variant makes it out for mass production.

The one in front of it is the current generation Strada, it seems like an early production model of the all new model.

Seeing the old / current gen chrome side mirrors, tires, roof line, antennae and proportions....

Its more like a test mule....

Or a possible MMC to ensure a refreshed line up to fight the ranger, Dmax, and the coming Navarra for at least 2 more years... the next gen 2015 Strada/Triton should realistically bow in in showrooms by 2016....

It's a facelift, mid-cycle refresh. Notice the shape of the rear door, it's the same as the current gen.

I hope everyone knows that there is such a thing as a test mule where you use either the front end or rear end of a new car and use the other half of an old car. Right now there are several spy shots in Australia of a test mule of the new Ford Everest where it is using the front of the Ranger and the rear of what seems to be the new Everest. A few years ago, there were test mules of the Ford Ranger as well.

Not saying that I am 100% sure that this is just a test mule but some people doesn't seem to know that one can easily use a diff. cargo bed/rear and connect it to diff. front end esp. when it comes to pick-ups and trucks.

You can't say it's just a facelift, mid-cycle refresh if its using an entirely new platform/frame like the new Nissan Navarra.

Fiat to offer its own version of Mitsubishi Triton in 2016 – report

The new-generation Mitsubishi Triton due to debut later this year will also be sold as a Fiat in Europe and Latin America, according to reports out of Europe.

The all-new Mitsubishi Triton has been confirmed for a 2014 debut ahead of its arrival in Australia in 2015, and Automotive News Europe claims sources have said the Japanese maker will provide its new ute to Fiat in select markets, with styling and specification modifications expected. Below is an image of the Mitsubishi GR-HEV concept, which is the precursor to the production version of the new Triton.
