Fading V Emblem on Strada GLX-V and Montero GLS-V

I noticed a couple of Montero GLS-V and Strada GLX-V units on the road with Faded V emblems in the rear...

Its supposed to be a Red V colored emblem ^ but the with the ones I saw the color is fading to a hazy grayish red....

Probably same issue as with the Ford Lynx RS.

The red enamel paint used to give these things color doesn't stick well to chrome.

EDIT: oops... sticker pala... probably the dye just fades....

I was given a heads up by my SA bout this..known ung fading...the 2012 V emblems will be replaced by a metallic red something to avoid the fading...the current at is plasticish material...So i asked him kung free n ba ung pag papa change ko ng emblem to the more improve on since i just got my unit this Aug...*Tumawa* but definitely will daw..

Nice to hear that, I'll tell my office mate who also has a GLS-V unit (Feb 2011) to ask for the new 2012 V emblems.

tinanong ko din to nung nagpa 5k ako, sabi ng service, sa sales daw, sabi naman ng sales, dapat sa service daw.hay, pinabayaan ko nalang muna at di naman super kailangan, pero yun lang, parang ang pangit lang talaga tingnan, mukang luma kagad yung sasakyan.hehehe

Yung isang 2009 Montero Sport na nakita kong namemeke siguro galing sa GT-V yung "V" badge niya kasi maganda, hindi sticker.

Halata naman di siya GLS-V kasi "N" pa plates tapos wala pa nga tailgate garnish

Currently here at citimotors alabang, waiting for my new V sticker, warranty claim. I emailed mitsu phils. And after 12 hours someone from citimotors contacted me to replace my V badge... Kudos to mitsu phils. , however, its a temporary action, I wish theyd just replace the crappy emblem.
