New Adventure No Under Coat??

Hello Adventure owners, just wondering if your adventure have under coat when you got it from your dealer, co'z when i got my adventure last dec. 5, I've noticed that there's no under coat on it, please need your comments.

sir, i think dealer option po ito. did you checked your Official Receipt or Vehicle Delivery Form? kung wala, then you could bring it to Tuff Kote or Ziebart or any reputable shop that performs undercoating.

Sir,,, correct me if i'm wrong pero lahat ng unit walang undercoat po yan... sakin din ganyan...

siguro nga, ano ginawa mo? nag pa coat ka sa labas anong company ang gumawa at magkano?

I prefer sa casa pa din inavail ko na yung full rust prof program nila... more than 2years na wala pa na babakbak....

no need to, most new vehicles will last 10 or so years before developing any signs of rust...

an undercoat is different from factory rust proofing.

Undercoating will do. Most new cars already have rustproofing aplied in the painting process

Meron na po yan, kaya lang factory undercoating is painted over kaya di mo kita. Yung bako bako na texture nakikita mo yun na yun.

Papa-undercoat ako after a year or so. I'll let the rust warranty do its job in the meantime, after all it's one of the things I paid for.

its up to you sir! tutal wala naman ganong baha sa area nyo.tsaka sayang din ang warranty hindi na po covered pag nag-undercoat kyo... dito sa amin sa malabon evry year undercoat kmi protekta sa baha,alat po kasi sa amin.....

HINDI ko lang po alam kung covered pa pag sila ang gumawa. gen 1 po ang akin sabi po nuon ng agent ko hind na covered pag nag pa-undercoat ako.sinilip ko nuon meron ngang rust-proof kaya lang tambol lang the rest wala na. kaya nagpagawa nalang ako sa labas makikita mo na mababantayan mo pa. 2 lata lang yan ewan ko lang kung kalawangin pa iyan..... pero choice nyo pa rin syempre.

pag sa kanila siguradong pasok sa warranty!!! madaya tlga casa... hehehe

casa has ol d pandaraya options, they r offering 3m undercoat for less then 5k pero may warranty naman na 3yrs, and trick nila once u failed to bring ur car for km tsek up at mag reklamo ka then ikaw na ang bahala sa mga complain mo

Lahat naman ng kotse walang undercoat coz they're all treated before painting, undercoating is just an aftermarket thing that dealers make money off. Do a search about undercoating here we have a long thread about it.

Basically it's not a necessity but not a bad idea either if done correctly, but just for the sake of the thread title, bnew cars shouldn't have that gunk underneath.

Sa tingin ko ok na po ang factory rust proof ng Mitsu. Nagkameron kami ng L300 & LancerGTi, ang Lancer 14yrs sa amin tapos ang L300 e 12yrs sa amin e wala naman po kami naging problema sa rust. Ito Honda namin e hindi namin pina-undercoat e meron na kalawang, 7yrs na po sa amin ang Honda. Sa Starex naman po namin e meron undercoat ang problema e nababakbak po sya ng pressurize water sprayer.

Mga MACoys, i would suggest you use 3m for your undercoating jobs.........
Prevention is better than cure.... d bah
