Hello Mga Sirs/Ma'ams,

Brand new ba to o 2nd hand? May concerns ba with warranty?
Usually I'd start with HID, foglamps if there are none and horn if it sounds like a motorcycle's. If the seats are fabric, I'd immediately spring for leatherette seatcovers. Touchscreen HU with backup camera is also a good purchase. Dashcam is a must, of course. The rest I'd upgrade if the existing needs replacement.
How much is the budget for upgrades though?

Nothing ... seriously.
The less you fidget with the car, its electronics, appearance, etc. what-have-you, the more you can command for a better price once you decide to sell it after 4-5 years (or earlier).
Just maintain it religiously, cleaned, waxed, interior smelling fresh.
THEN, upgrade to a better car. An Altis perhaps? Or a Civic? ... Or an SUV!
We were able to integrate the rearview cam to the AVT touchscreen on our 1st-gen GLS hatch. It's a bit slow to react though. Don't know with the newer models if there was an improvement in the HU.
Good tints will go a long way especially with the Mirage's thin glass. Next I will go for a simple speaker upgrade that will go into the stock mounts.
Keep it as close to stock as possible if you're not planning to keep it for a long time. I'm in the market for a used car and the first thing I look for (aside from the interior and exterior appearance) are extra wires that are haphazardly installed.
sir *leninmac, mine is G4 GLX, though touchscreen HU na sya, GPS ready nadin pero i am leaning towards sa dashcam...siguro saka na yung GPS tutal may Waze naman![]()
sir *lowslowbenz, hmmm, i thought it's the other way around because of the upgrades you did sa car baliktad palaanyhow, i was thinking of getting the altis and vios (both DUAL VVT-i back then kaso, di kaya ng budget so i opted for a sedan type ng Mirage which is G4. Thanks!
and please no pineapple juice can exhaust. yung tinatawag na sientobente exhaust - tunog siento takbong beinte. if you want to race then buy a race car. don't be one of those pretenders. nothing makes a car owner more baduy than a noisy car that can't deliver.
sir *Egan101, when you say useful, HLs, fogs, horn and the likes? since i believe, consumables or electrical warranty for new cars now is 1 year, you think it is quite practical to have it done outside casa? i got my unit early March 2017 by the way. Thanks!
thanks sir *GTi, brand new po mirage 2016 G4 GLX CVT. That's what i thought so, HID, fogs and horns are my priorities prior to posting this thread. Any recommended shops for HID and fogs so as horns? thanks!
I'm a regular at Philbest at Araneta. Have been buying from them for years. Nakakailang HID at horn na ako sakanila, though fogs hindi pa.
I've also bought quite a few HU's from them. It was there that I learned that the audio output of stock speakers can differ immensely depending on the type of HU installed. The audio quality of my relative's Carnival (China brand touchscreen HU with stock speakers) is simply atrocious in comparison to our Carnival (Pioneer AVH-295BT also with stock speakers) which sounds like it has a sub hidden away somewhere. thanks sa inputs sir *GTi, say i don't have ample monies to get an HID and would settle for LED (HLs) and 3000k fogs (super yellow) projector, di kaya magkaagawan ng buga ng ilaw yung 2 types ng bulbs?
If you won't upgrade to HID retrofits, just get Osram Nightbreakers. Anything in between isn't worth it if you have reflector headlamps.
If you have projector headlamps, you can get plug and play HID kits, but you have to check if it will be blinding to other motorists - some halogen projectors will still have clear cutoff when fitted with plug and play HID kits.

Practical upgrade is a kyb rear spring para wala ng bottom out issue.
Havent use personally pero most kirage owners are raving about this.
I only have the kyb rear shocks instead of the spring.
tint kuya. cant see in the dark if the dark tint is dark. its like wearing sunshades on your head while walking in the dark with a flashlight.
