Just read the C Mag of Nov.2003 (Porsche Anniv Issue plus Outlander and PAJ Cover)

Sabi nung nag review na drive nya daw up to 160+ kph? Kaya ba yon? Di ba 4D56 Engine din yon? Anyone here has tried this?

Well, it's not impossible.

I managed 140 with my heavier Pajero, same engine.

Its possible since the Strada is lighter and beign a 4 speed matic, it has longer gear ratios... However, we dont know how accurate the speedo reading is though.

I can hit 150 kph going downhill. I guess its possible esp. if you have a tailwind that day.

wala bang feedback sa cabin noise? let's say compared sa Ranger, he he give up na ako sa ingay ng fuego

The Strada should be quiter than the Fuego since the engine is a pre chamber design and isnt DI. DI engines are noisier than the pre chamber ones.

Otep, sarap talaga pag downhill... kaya ng Frontier 2.7 up to 178kph pag downhill (near redline na siya pag ganun).

Kung normal road, up to 150kph lang siya.

pwede siguro my strada on mud tires umaabot ng 140 pero kaya pa bumira...

ayaw ko lang isagad baka mag smoke belch

only mod.. is a snorkel and finer filter

I tried 155 kph once in my Strada '01 sa expressway. Alam ko kaya pa niya above 160 kph pero nawalan na ng road since nasa dulo na ako.

btw, meron pala akong maliit na kwento, about the estrada.

it happened last dec 23 evening around 630pm na... we were riding in a ford everest 4x2. tas may nasundan kaming government vehicle, then nag overtake ang bro ko, tas convoy pala ng governor. hindi kasi namin alam, nabreak namin un close circuit convoy, patrol ang 1st vehicle tas estrada ang 2nd vehicle.tas pajero na subic unit 3rd vehicle, tas isuzu highlander na luma 4th vehicle

since sa province to, sa mindanao, dun kasi madalas un hiway 1 lane lang magkabilaan, so if oovertake ka lalabas ka tlaga sa opposite lane. kayang kaya habulin ng everest ang estrada, kaya lang d kami tlaga nakaovertake coz, yun estrada napansin kami dun sya sa gitna ng dalwang lane dumadaan, bumabalik nalang sa lane namin if may kasalubong. ang alam ko todo bilis na sila tsaka baka akala nila anu kami hehe around 130 pala takbo ata namin nun... medyo malau din namin sila hinabol ehehe napagtripan ng bro ko.

so naisip ko lalu na siguro pag sa Ranger at Strada yun, malamang mas mabilis ang ranger.. dont you think??

proper maintainance and smooth paved roads
naka 140kph ako sa GOVIC road sa zambales with OTEP as my convoy , may hinabol kaming Gallopher ( yun ba yun otep),

Kahit ako hindi makahabol kay kimpOy dun sa GOVIC highway. We were on our way to a "GOVIC Extravaganza" that time. Coronation night ng Miss Zambales. hehehehe. Ang daming bading. Type na type si tebs.

Ako ang nakatingin sa speedometer since I'm alone at that time. Medyo malapit na sa redline. As I said 155 kph lang at di 160 kph. I am sure it can still go at that speed pero as I said no more road dahil nasa dulo na ng expressway (Calamba Exit).

anong mods? :D hehe kaya naman hanggang 160 umabot ako ng 150 dati nung naka "HT" ako. hehe kaso nagalit mom ko. freak out. sana dad ko lang kasama hehe we were trying to find out kung hanggang saan kaya. sa star tollway yun. I hope may improvement when I get a snorkel and finer filter. oh yah, aerodynamics din pala should be taken into consideration.

sir roydok, anong gamit niyo na tires? size? mods? :D

oo nga pala dati stock height yun ride ko so medyo mababa kaya mas ok mag bilis bilis. hehe and... depende rin sa diesel na gamit...kung mas malinis siyempre mas mabilis ang ma-aachieve na speed.ako noon naka BD 10. hehe

Stock ang tires ko with no mods sa engine. Plano ko palagay ng turbo boost controller pero nadelay ng nadelay. Mostly sound impovements sa loob (subwofer, amp, EQ, etc...), foglights, back-up sensor, and leather shift knobs.
