Mitsubishi provides sneak peek of new models at Glorietta

Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation will hold an exclusive Mitsubishi motorshow at the Glorietta Activity Center in Ayala Center, Makati City from June 20 to 28. Dubbed as the Mitsubishi Motors Expo 2005, MMPC will showcase its full passenger car and light commercial vehicle models in this nine-day event.

Aside from its current models, Mitsubishi Motors Philippines will also provide sneak preview of upcoming models, such as the newest incarnation of the Mitsubishi Galant, a MIVEC (Mitsubishi Innovative Valve Electronic Control)-equipped Outlander and the Endeavor SUV. “This motorshow is something to look forward to as we will provide the public a preview of two exciting new models - a new full size passenger car model and an additional SUV, for starters - to complement our model line up. Through this Mitsubishi Motors Expo the public can get a glimpse of these new vehicles,” said Froilan Dytianquin, Mitsubishi Motors Philippines AVP for marketing services.

    All tech’d up with MIVEC

Mitsubishi will be providing a sneak peek of two MIVEC-equipped vehicles, namely the all-new Galant and a variant of the Lancer Evolution-based Outlander SUV.

The all-new Galant features a 2.4-liter, MIVEC powerplant that produces 162PS*5500rpm and 22.3kg-m*4000rpm, mated to a Sportronic sequential shift four-speed automatic transmission. Maintaining the smooth ride found in its predecessors is a four-wheel independent suspension, while stopping power is provided by an ABS-equipped brake system with EBD. Other features include automatic climate control, leather seats, a power-assisted driver’s seat, a one-touch power sunroof, a high contrast meter cluster, an anti-theft security alarm system.

On the other hand, the MIVEC-version Outlander’s engine features 2.4-liters and four inline cylinder of MIVEC fun, as seen in its vital power statistics of 163PS*5750 rpm and 22.4kg-m*4000 rpm. Other features found in the 2006 Outlander include a white meter cluster, an all-wheel drive system found in the Lancer Evolution series, dual airbags and an ABS-equipped brake system with EBD.

Endeavor yourself to Mitsubishi’s new mid-sized SUV

The latest SUV to enter the highly competitive midsize SUV market is sure to “endeavor” itself to Mitsubishi purists and even non-Mitsubishi fans alike, thanks to a bunch of features that provide a carlike ride from a truck chassis. Its 3.8 liter V6 puts out a LEV certified 215hp*5000rpm and 250lb-ft*3750rpm, all mated to a Sportronic sequential shift four-speed automatic transmission.

A four-wheel independent suspension and Mitsubishi’s Active Skid and Traction Control (M-ASTC) feature helps maintain the aforementioned carlike ride, along with 17” wheels with 235/65R17 tires for a carlike look. Providing carlike safety are dual front and side airbags and an ABS-equipped brake system with EBD. Other features to watch out for are an anti-theft security alarm system, a one-touch power sunroof, a 315-watt, seven-speaker Mitsubishi/Infinity premium six-CD audio system, steering wheel-mounted audio controls, automatic front climate control and mid-cabin air conditioning controls.

    But that’s not all…

Aside from the new models, Mitsubishi Motors Philippines will also display the Lancer Evolution WRC models that have participated in several World Rally Championship stages, as well as accessorized models such as the Mitsubishi Grandis, Montero Sport, Pajero, Adventure, Lancer, Outlander and Strada models.

In addition, a Mitsubishi Motors Genuine Parts and Ralliart corner will also be available for those who want to purchase Mitsubishi Genuine parts and accessories or RALLIART apparel and accessories which will be merchandised at special marked down prices.

Mitsubishi Motors Philippines has also tied up with PSBank to provide the financing requirements of customers, in case they decide to purchase at the motorshow. PSBank will also provide on the spot approvals and low interest rates during the nine-day event.

During the weekend (June 25-26, 2005), fun-filled activities await Mitsubishi Motors Expo patrons as MMPC will carry out exciting games and a “Draw Your Adventure” competition for kids.

Went there a couple of hours ago.

The Galant didn't look very nice or maybe it's because I don't like the new front grill that's the standard look for the new Mitsubishi vehicles.

The Endeavor looked a lot like an obese Outlander... Haha.

Cant believe they're still copying the rear door window wedge that BMW uses.

no price yet sa Endeavor. Sabi sakin ng sales rep, the Galant will fall on the 1.5M-1.6M price tag.
