Tanong lang po. Okay lang po ba bumili ng second hand na 2008 Mitsubishi Outlander. Nag stop na po yung pag dala ng Outlander dito sa pilipinas diba? Nagiisip po ako kung okay lang ba bumili ng sasakyan phased out na sa pilipinas. Ano po sa palagay nyo, kung bibilin ko po ba o hindi na? At ano pong pros and cons nang pagbili ng phased out car. Pahingi na rin pong insights tungkol sa Mitsubishi Outlander. Wala po kasi akong makitang page sa facebook eh.

I personally do not have an Outlander, but my officemate has one, the GLS Sport, in V6 Trim. So far in terms of performance, its a "Halimaw" due to the raw power of the V6. Consumption is reasonable considering it is a V6. The only gripe of my officemate is the sourcing of major parts such as the suspension. Though he still manages to source through the internet and sometimes thru CASA, it is still a challenge as compared to a more famous model or brand. It is still with Him and still no plans of selling it as of the moment, he also loves of being unique when using His car (unique as few owners have them). Personally? Practically wise, I would recommend you to look for other more familiar model or brand

not sure 100%... I used to own a Grandis and still own Asx (which are very close cousins of the outlander)... what i know about the outlander (i wanted that car)


1. the engine is the same as Grandis, Galant (of same era for the 4 cylinders)... many parts in Casa, reliable if you ask me

2. the underpinnings is actually used by the current ASX (but shortened)... so it can probably share some parts

3. ASX shares some parts with Lancer, im not sure if it can share parts with outlander, (maybe with the Galant/Grandis)

I never had problems getting parts for mitsubishi, but i do get them from CASA...

I guess sharing parts across different products is an advantage

Hi TS,

I own an Outlander and here are my thoughts

Pros:

1. Power is very good. Haven't driven that many cars but with the the ones I tried driving, Outlander isa sa pinakamalakas
2. Might be subjective, but I really love how it looks.
3. Sobrang laki ng cargo space sa likod, unfortunately this is directy related to a con that I will mention below.
4. Unique kasi konti lang outlander sa roads

Cons:

1. May certain areas sa interior na sobrang bilis magpeel ng paint (example kung saan nag rrest ang elbow and knee ko while driving)
2. Dashboard mejo plasticy
3. Malaki ang cargo space kasi nasa labas ang spare tire. For me mejo alanganin ang location ng spare.
4. Starting to have problems sourcing parts na. I would imagine na this will get worse as time goes on.
5. Since unique, mejo mababa resale value nya

The ASX is next generation of the Outlander. These crossovers are based off the Lancer.

I don’t know what engine the last gen Outlander used but it might be similar to the one on the Galant (2.5L). I think a V6 option was also available.

The Outlander is bigger than the ASX. CRV/Forester size vs the ASX which is HRV/XV size.

It came with a 2.4L 170 hp engine and a 3.0L 220 hp V6. Both didn't sell as well as the same-era CRV and Forester.

Yep, it was bigger. I liked its looks better also against the ASX. However, the ASX shares a lot of common parts with the older Outlander and the Lancer EX, including the consumeables.
