Fully Synthetic Oil for Montero Sport? What brand? for 1000KM check up.

Sir advise nman po kung anong brand maganda ilagay ng FS oil sa 1st 1000km ng mga Monty ntin at Oil filter nrin?TIA

since bago pa yan, di ba sa CASA mo pagagawa? wala kang choice ng brand kundi yung gamit nila, pumapayag ba sila ng magdadala ka ng sarili mo?

It is advisable to change to synthetic at 15,000 to 20,000 km. Mobil 1 TDT, Motul CRDi specific and Royal Purple are good synthetic oils. Some dealers allow you to bring your own oil and parts.

Ang Montero Sports tulad ng Strada ay may EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) valve. Kaya dapat gamitin na engine oil ay ung may minimum rating na API CI-4 or ACEA E6 at makikita mo yan sa container pack. Since bago pa ang Montero mo, kadalasan nilalagay ng manufacturer na initial oil fill bago dalhin sa mga casa ay ung mineral lang kasi un ang mas mura. Kaya, during your 1st 1000kms they recommend to change the oil. But this oil (mineral) is not totally drained. Palaging may naiiwan sa makina na mineral oil. So to be safe use mineral oil din at 1st 1000kms, then upgrade to synthetic oil at 5000 kms. Dapat same brand para no issue with oil compatibility. Just make sure din na may API CI-4 or ACEA E6 minimum rating ung preferred oil na bibilin mo.

Mobil Delvc MX, Delo Gold Ultra at Delo 400, Top 1 SDO, Zic Up, RP etc. Basta ideal sana ng may API rating na CI-4.

It does not have to be the same brand when switching from mineral to fully synthetic oil.

meron din ako nakita Valvoline sa Ace Hardware, SM North Edsa 15w40 parang P1,049.00 yung 4 liters na may API CI-4 or ACEA E6 minimum.

maraming salamat sir. try ko yung mobil. next thing to do is ask diamond kung papayag sila na ako magdala ng sariling oil ko. mineral yan sir tama?

Yup, mineral siya. Ok din Caltex Delo 400 or Delo Gold Ultra. Mga mineral din mga yan.

Yes, the higher the better kasi it can be used for extended oil drain interval. Pero kahit 9-10 lang starting TBN kung 5,000kms ka magpalit ok na rin.

*ry tower - thank you sir for that useful info regarding tbn. well tingin ko nga po every 5k kms and gagawin kong pag change oil dito kay montero, malamang puro mineral oil na lang gamitin ko basta every 5k kms palit at para malinis.

Mobil Delvac MX TBN is 12 on that link, but looking at the Mobil Delvac MX specs sa Asia it is only 10, so don't know which one they are selling here. Kung yung TBN na 12 then it's TBN is better than some synthetic oils out there
